Ferrari showing some improvement ?

in the last 7 days Ferrari have being testing at Bahrain with MS driving the 248 F1 and Massa a restricted F2004.
Schu's best times were up to 1.32.919 in the first days and today his best time was 1.31.390

1.6 secs of difference in one week shows how much are they working. I hope they keep the good work

Everlasting 02-20-2006 04:54 PM

i'll have my fingers crossed

SafirXP 02-20-2006 11:51 PM

1.6 secs quicker in a week is pretty good, especially when you consider that they work so hard for the advantage of every fraction of a second!

btw, how much power & torque are these new 2.4l V8s producing?

To be honest, I am glad they hit mechnical problems. It is always better to find more problems pre-season than during. Can't wait to see Ferrari back on top again. Renault and Honda look very strong also, it's gonna be an exciting season

I think that information is classified. Rumors speculate around 200hp less than the V10s.

todays best time was 1.30.723 with the 248 F1. thats more than 2 seconds less from his fisrt best times, and 0.6 secs from yday, seems theyve found something to make improve the car a bit

5vz-fe 02-21-2006 02:48 PM

^They also find that their car is not as reliable as they thought :|

bmagni 02-21-2006 02:55 PM

they had some mechanical probs last week to, but solved them, better before the season than during it

it was prolly done on a revised track...somehow I doubt Ferrari found a second overnight

bmagni 02-21-2006 04:55 PM

nope, same track, theyve been testing there in the whole past week, if it had being a revised one, it would be more like 5+ secs...

BTW nice avatar, whos that ?

Max Power 02-21-2006 08:21 PM

(danielle gamba)

if the track wasn't revised than the track record was broken by Massa...

that is not the case...although it would be nice knowing ferrari is that quick

bmagni 02-22-2006 10:42 PM

revised or not revised they ran in the same circuit for a week and took 2 secs out of schu's best time
