That does look rather nice, and I'm not even a fan of convertibles :)

I do worry about it being a convertible, though. I did some searching right now and only found hard-tops and targa-topped (original) Opel GTs. Were any convertible versions actually made of the old one?

gucom 01-18-2006 03:28 PM

er those photoshops...well its a nice looking car but its basically an american car with opel badges on it...i htink opels should look more...well...european, german, whatever...the connection with its siblings is too obvious here :(

I think that does look nice! Ok a bit americanish, but I like it.

I wonder if they'll make this a cruiser or a sportscar, probably the first. And where is that Calibra succesor??

I don't like pontiac solstice and saturn sky. They are ugly and they are all crap ( All magazines I read said that they are useless car). From First pics these car looks ugly too. And those car gas same chasis and some stuffs so it must be useless. But I am still waiting for to see it on roads to see am I right.

I took a Saturn Sky pix at the 2006 Montreal Car Show. It's very similar to the Opel Gt.

So this will be the replacement for the Opel Speedster? Wasn't there a Vauxhall VX Lightning concept a while back? Hopefully that's what the production version will look like

I was going to put about the same words here. When I thought about it, I don't know why I dislike Opels, but I just do.

I don't really understand why you do not like Opel. I think the fun of a car has nothing to do with its manufacturer. For instance the Opel Speedster I am driving is nothing else than an Lotus chassis with an Opel engine and I feel proud of driving it. It is as fun as a Lotus Elise but much cheeper because of the Opel parts and not less reliable... It is like all these guys that remove the Opel logo from their speedster :? Don't you know that Opel is one of the best manufacturer in the DTM championship, so why ?

On the opposite, I think a shame the people that tell me the Elise is better when they never drove the Speedster and pay twice the price for changing oil of their Toyota engine simply because their is a Lotus sticker on it

Looks quite good! :P

yes it was engineered by LOTUS, and i think the great handling and stearing fell is comming from them... But if in this new version they used american engineering i think they will spoil the performances

It wont be as light... :?

The coupe looks a lot better to me, the first pics are very Corvette in there apperance. But the latter picture with the diffrenr grill, has more of a Euro look.

Uhm - hasn't it already been shown in road tests thatt the Solstice design (the root of all these cars) is superior to that other benchmark sports car - the Miata.. :P
