What an awesome R34 GT-R :!:  .... THE dream of hundreds of europeans guy  including me
i loved the sound of the engine  8)

Here are some of the laptimes recored by the auto select demo cars.
I would love the see what lap times a tuned gtr r34 like nams or auto
select would if it would run if they fitted some brand new racing slicks.

Note these laptimes are very old from year 2001-2003 can't find any
laptimes of 2004-2005.
Some the skylines are allready in the 56 seconds range at tsukuba circuit the same as they use for best motoring and hot version.
The only cars that are faster a few well tuned evo's and impreza's.
I have good news i have found some new laptimes of yellow shark.

R34 yellow shark
25-04-2004
Central circuit japan laptime :1,20.6 and 1,20,8
12-04-2004
And suzuka circuit(also japan)laptime is 2.13,2
You can find the laptimes in the videoclips i have posted here.
:D :o

have in mind that the MINE'S is a street car not a track only car. yellow shark is a track only car.
anyways thank for the videos.

coombsie66 12-24-2005 07:45 PM

Certainly a very quick car, sounds like a nasty vibration when its really stretching its legs on the pit straight though in the 1st vids :?

pagani 12-25-2005 09:37 AM

The mines r34 is fast but the auto select gtr r34 with 800 hp is the complete package decent brakes engine race suspension and stripped interior better aero package etc.
Bolt on 4 race slick and you have a full racecar.
Mines is just a tuned streetcar the yellowshark is a full gt racer.
Btw i think that the mcr r34 is just as good as the mines maby better.
:D :)

the yellow shark specs on the video the have it as a RB30DET. a bore kit to a 3.0 litre and a single turbo. yes a 800hp monster. but i still prefer the mine's

hwe 12-26-2005 04:31 AM

Thanks for the video links. I have no idea which is the fastest or best, but this is for sure one damn fast car.

In the "Optionfan" clip if you just want to skip to the driving, go to about 2:25.

Surely a stroker kit rather than bore?!

pagani 12-26-2005 08:25 AM

I have a dvd on my pc whit a fearture about auto select and they say it's running a trust 2,8 liter stroker kit not 3 liter rb30 if they really want to stroke it to 3 liter they can better fit os giken 3 liter because thats better and can rev higher(i believe the crank is rated for 9500 rpm) than a rb30 engine whit a rev limet of 7500 rpm.
And it's good to see that the tuners are willing to still tune and develop gtr's i thinks this will be the tuners dream engine for years.
Just like v8 engines in the us.
And the rb 30 engines is diffrent than a rb26.
I just noticed thay ran rb30det in the option fan videoclip but i don't how old that clip is.
:D :) :!:

gtx28 12-26-2005 11:11 AM

well what are the bore and stroke of the rb26dett and rb30det? and what is the ls ratio? id be curious to find out???

pagani 12-26-2005 11:30 AM

Found some technical specs of the os giken rb30 stroker kit
It's rated for 1400 hp and rev all the wat upto 9500 rpm that's very high for such a big turbo engine.
Good for more torque would be good for circuit/dragrace engine.

The OS Giken RB30 is designed to replace the block and bottom end components of an RB26DETT. The components used are rated for up to 1400hp, so it is ideally suited to extreme drag racing applications. It increases stroke to 86mm for a square 86mm/86mm bore/stroke ratio and a capacity of 2996cc.

+ a picture of the rb30 kit

Here a few pics of rb26 fitted whit the os giken stroker good for over 300 hp per liter. And i have posted a tread about stroker kits on rb26 engine on the bottom.

If anyone wants what rb means it means racebred because the r32 gtr was made for touring car racing group a rules it had to compete aganist cars like ford sierra rs 500 and bmw e30 m3.

And i have found new video of the yellow shark.
[url]http://autoselect.dynalias.net/auto/2005_6_ti_34r_36.wmv[/ur]

But their is a gtr as fast as the nams r34.

And it's the garage saurus r32 drag/circuit car it running in the same 56 second range as the nams gtr time of the saurus gtr is 56. 490sec.
