Dec 3rd [Track] : 360, 355, 328, 964 RS, 206 cup

Like in 2004, there was another track day here and various events all over the country to collect some funds for the medical research (genetic dieseases and so on)
( Last year's topic : http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20786 )
So obviously I had another ride in a Ferrari (well, again a 360 but it's still worth for just 20€) :)

http://img416.exs.cx/img416/472/dsc052258rq.th.jpghttp://img416.exs.cx/img416/9205/dsc052097ii.th.jpghttp://img416.exs.cx/img416/5629/dsc052284tc.th.jpg

The driver was a bit tired (he had been driving for a few hours before) so I was the last one to have a seat in that modena. The tires were almost fucked up and the car always wanted to take the corners sideways, I cannot say I bothered  but being a bit tall my head nearly hit the side window a few times, hopefully I had a helmet.
Later came a 328 (but the owner's driving style was sooo boring that I didn't regret anything :bah: ) and a 355.

Only a few Porsches comparing to last year

http://img416.exs.cx/img416/4251/dsc053845fz.th.jpg

Some 206 racers, dani's rivals ... kind of  (one of them completely missed his path at the beginning of the corner and ended in the gravel "Alesi-style" )
http://img416.exs.cx/img416/6265/dsc052604ga.th.jpghttp://img416.exs.cx/img416/60/dsc052419dm.th.jpghttp://img416.exs.cx/img416/8856/dsc052599ie.th.jpg

Only 3 "proper" track pics, damn fences around the track and camera with no zoom :? I would have killed for some 300mm lens

And finally that maserati Biturbo S1 was still there, in poor condition :/

Thanks dude! You don't see many nice cars maybe, but when you do you can take some proper pics :good:

That Maser, why has it a license plate if it's not moving for a whole fucking year?

Anyway, the Modena is sexy in yellow, and rare! I would have tried to jump in the 355 if I had the occasion, but still good :D and the Modena pulls stronger :)

nice cars, i like the F355, 8)

you should be lucky that you got the ride in a ferrari  joke

the F360 is nice too :D

thanks for the pics

Wutputt 12-04-2005 12:36 PM

Nice pics, and great you had another ride in a 360. Too bad there wasn't a Countach or A110 like last year.

Sad to see that Maser in bad condition.

nice pics, in Anneau du Rhin you'll always see some really nice cars. and the track is nice too, hope to go there soon again

Same here, but I had to wait quite a long time for the 360 and I didn't know if another ferrari was coming, then I'd have to pay again and to wait again while there'd be some action on the track and a 360 with no one around ... :bah: Maybe next year :)

Too bad it's 100% a private track (it's written everywhere on their website, looks like they don't want regular people to go there  )
BTW for those who watched Turbo's Veyron review, this track was used

Wyclef 12-07-2005 12:52 PM

Yellow Modena? Not my cup of thee
355 looks much better

TT 12-07-2005 02:12 PM

Uhm what about this private track thing? most racing tracks are anyway "private" as for "not owned by the state", and if I am not wrong they still organize a lot of Porsche and other events there, no? Why should they stress about the fact it is private? Hell, even FIA tracks are "private" afterall :D

Darkel 12-07-2005 03:33 PM

Well, the real problem is the ferrari dealership there, it also belongs to the track owner and that makes it even less friendly.
You probably know the ferrari owners over here just don't get the human factor, in switzerland when they organize a little meeting, it's always possible for regular people like us to get close to the cars and so on ... here they just go out for a trip and they don't really care about informing the public, I've always had that impression that they wanted to stay together, drinking champagne in a closed area

It's quite the same with the track, first, when you want to find some interesting piece of information on their website, you first read their "private track blah blah" what a warm welcome ! They do have a little area for the public but it doesn't look that nice, several meters away from the action with the fences right in front of you :bah:

Then the club meetings, no single information/calendars and so on, is that so secret ? And god they have had a few cars there ...

So you can't really judge by that charity event; maybe pzgren could tell us about how it works there with the clubs , honestly I've never been to a club meeting.
