I love the photo of SLK55 AMG

Top stuff as always! The SLK55's shot is brillant.. if only there wasn't that damn SUV beside it :( still ice! BTW, I often notice "different" plates on some of the cars. Can I have some details? I mean, the most common one seem the small and black one, that can also have various sizes (see the 360CS), but there are also other ones (not talking about the CC). Just curious!

I was actually wondering when I'd get a question about this. :)

There are a ton of options regarding plates here, the standard one is the whats on my car for example

http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/5...wrx82jl.th.jpg

then you have a range of custom plates, here is a link to some of them  http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/plates/custom.html

and then :P you have the new Euro-style plates like these  http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/e...europlate.html

There are other more obscure ones, but these are the most common.

Hope that helps. :D

Ah dang, so MANY ppl go for the white on black option!

I'd like to see some orange ones :!:

Anyway... what an useless mess :D it's true that it's nice to match car and plate, but still... BTW, are down there plates related to the owner, or to the car? I mean, when you change car you keep your plate like here or the plate stays on the car "forever"?

Haha, next time I see an orange one I will take a pic - regardless of the car its on. :P

The plates are related to the car generally, I'm currently selling my old car (the Commodore) and the custom plates will stay on that for the new owner. However if I wanted to I could take those custom plates off and keep them, and put some standard ones on it and sell it like that.

TT 11-16-2005 06:47 AM

Ok I see down there you basically can do whatever you want with your plates :D

We're all convicts so rules are useless......

TT 11-16-2005 06:55 AM

LOL! What about having two completely different plates on the same car? Or 4 plates, adding also two on the sides? I bet it is allowed :D

I have seen quite a few of the Euro plates, but mostly on 'normal' cars - here is an example on an M Roadster:

To be honest I didn't notice it while taking the pics, only afterwards as I walked away. Its one I have posted before though, so no pics of it. :)

Nice pics of the 328, again :P

A nice M3... not seen many in such loud colours for a while.

Why has the 996 Turbo cab deiver put the hard-top on? Its not exactly winter in your hemisphere :?

Sexy GT3 too... much nicer than a bright red/yellow paint job

Finally, the SLK pic is fantastic. You have such great views of the city from across the water, it is such an amazing setting 8)

Thanks for posting/hosting 8)
