Racing Alfa Romeo Montreal vs bunch of Porsches...

I was browsing at AlfaBB and I found this image. It seems to be a Montreal prepared by AutoDelta. Look how it has surpassed all these 911's...

Everso I dont know whats the situation like in the States but here in Greece finding parts for the Montreal is kinda ok..not only from Greece but mainly from Italy and England.. I would also like to buy one but this is going to take place after the restoration of my 2000 GTV.

That pic you posted is also an Autodelta one.. Great pic man!!

Everso would you be surpsrised if I told you that finding GOOD(mostly NEW,GENUINE) spare parts for my 2000 GTV in Greece is much more harder than for a Montreal... How much was the price tag for the one you found?...

Dani stop being an Alfa hater dude!!! :| :)

As for the specs I dont know the racing Montreal's specs... :|

I was talking to a Montreal owner in the US, and he told me that finding engine parts aren't so bad...BUT everything else is virtually impossible to find (body parts, interior, suspension, drivetrain, glass, etc...)

i am also surprised that it's hard for you to find 2000GTV parts!! they made alot of those cars. You could order them from Italy i suppose!

i do love Alfas though!! i will buy one in the next few years i think :)

the Montreal i thought about was $18,000. it was in superb condition though. and it was Silver.

Everso 3925 Montreals were build in total and 37459 2000GTV...But the thing is that finding GENUINE 2000GTV parts is kinda hard here simply because there werent many imported...So far I had the chance to find a couple of mechanical parts here and a a set of genuine Ronal wheels from Italy!!(all parts new)

At the late '60's there was an Alfa 33 Stradale here in Greece

18k for a Montreal is around 15k euro... Very good, especially since you told me that the car was in superb condition.. Was it restored?... Man you should have taken it... 8)

Everso the story of my 2000GTV(she's a 1974 MK2 model) is pretty cool(but lenghty), I can tell you that I was between her and a 1992 Maserati 2.24...The bottomline is that I bought her very recently and right now Im in the process of gathering parts... The resotration of my Alfetta sedan is alsmost done and when it finishes the 2000GTV project will begin... Then Ill start taking photos at the various stages of her progress(like I did with my Alfetta)... As for the Montreal vs 1300, 1600, etc I to like the later more... 8)
