The cars i drove in the past month - 4
 

First up, it's the facelifted Peugeot 307. I drove the 307CC with the 136hp diesel engine. The engine is nothing special and fells much better placed in the 206CC. I also drove the 307 Feline. A 180hp car. Pulls nice, but the GTI feeling is totaly absent. No punch, just steady accleration. The suspension also lacks agility and poise. The body roll is too big and you can't help to think the french realy can't get out of their skin by making soft cars. The 206 RC really seems to be an acception.

Not the greatest quality of the pics, but good enough for everybody to get a general idea of the look of cars.

I give them 7,5 from 10. Just because the chicks dig the CC and the build quality is nice.

Well, Hyundai made an effort and it shows :wink: The seats are rubbish and the ride not much better. But the price speaks in it's favour. Hyundai is on the right track.

I give it 6 from 10.

The Peugeot 1007. I loved it the first minute I saw it. From the on, I liked it less and less. The quality inside is good. The automatic 2tronic could be much better. The car has much charisma. The doors are fun for the first day or two but then thy just get to slow and unpracticle. It was powered by a 1,6 l petrol engine. 110 hp or so. Top speed is nice, around 190km/h. No real punch from the engine but it's adequate for every day driving. The fun thing is you can change parts of the interior, I mean you can change some colours. Nice touch. In general I give it 7 from 10. The doors alone aren't enough to blow me away.

The Transit. Well, I haven't got much expirience with vans, but this felt good. Loads and loads of space. Tacky interior. I guess it's not that bad, but I won't rate it, because I don't know how it stacks up against other vans.

The Astra GTC, the 150hp diesel engine. I thought I would never say this, but I love this car. The right amount of punch with the right amount of everything else to make this an enjoyable car. It can be driven VERY fast. It's poised in corners but only if the surface is perfect. If not, it jumpa around like hell, and I don't like that. The gearbox is great, the gear stick runs smoothly and we all know the new Astra is one pf the nicest opels ever. The looks are great. I like this car very much. The interior could be more exciting but ot still does it's job very well.

I give it 8 out of 10.

Hyundai Tucsan. Rubish on the road but excellent off the road. The 2.0 diesel engine, 110 hp is not the best. But maybe I just didn't like it because it was an automatic. The shifts take forever. We took it off road on a motorcross track. It handled it like a pro. Thumbs up!

I give it 7 out of 10. The motocross track saved it.

The Seat Altea. In general I like Seats and this one is no different. Sporty ride, good build quality. Ergonomics are great. I like it very much.

The Hummer H2. Great for off road, sucks on the streets. Well, actually, it's ok if the speeds aren't higher than 60mph. The seats are one of the most comfortable I have ever expirienced. I'd trade them for the ones in my living room in a second. The gear stick is impressive, but the dashboard looks like it came from the 80's. The width isn't a problem at all, when you drive the car. IMO you have to be trully tallent free to mess something up on normal roads. At one point I was going about 100mph and I couldn't keep the car straight. The susspension is embarasing, but I'm leting that go, because this machine wasn't ment to be driven fast. If the roads are not not the best the driver won't even notice it. It glides over ANY bumps. Offroad it's just magnificent.

I give it 8 out of 10. The looks are cool.

And the car I had by far most fun with. The S2000. I love it. It's noisy, it's uncomfortable on longer journeys, but maaaaan, does it push all the right buttons!!! I love it. The revs just never end. The handling is superb. Despite the lack of any stability controls, it's very safe to play with. The back end kicks out on demand and I had a blast driving it. This was my first night photoshoot and in some pics the light is too strong, in some too weak, but in general they turned out ok.

If I'd buy myself an afordable sports car, it would be the S2000. Hands down. It's extreemley well planted and it rewards the driver if he knows how to get the maximum out of the car. This colour is perfect for this car. It goes together well with the car's noisy personality. The interior feels dated..........because it is, but the way this car looks from the outside. It's one of the rare japaneese cars that will keep it's youth for a long time.

I give it 9 out of 10

I loved the Tucson's action pics, very well done! I loved the background on the H2's pics, really fits the car, I especially love the S2000 night shots, the light in them is so amazing!

well, nothing special. I actually left the camera on auto with the shutter speed set at 15 secs, more or less.

I tried to do a few pics and they came out ok, so I didn't change anything...

Those pics are great mate,the s2000 is fantastic the colour is very nice.it is one of the cars i really would like to drive as it gives me a sense of a great all round car.seems thats what you think as you gave it a great score and a good review.

The off road action shots of the Tucsan are great, but the night shots of the S2000 just blow everything away. Superb shots, and nice license plate as well!
