Laser Guidance

   8)

I dunno...I just thought it was cool. I know there's technology that will lock on and follow a laser pointer right back at the site too...that's crazy...using their own laser guidance against them....

The fire rate is quite impressive. not quite as fast as the A10 Warthog which is capable of unloading it's entire bullet supply in 17 seconds, though a constant fire rate like that will slag it's barrels within 10. |

I don't believe so. The infared light spectrum cannot be seen with the naked eye, so whether there is dust or not, makes no difference. This is different than say a red laser beam (or even a flashlight), which is a light spectrum that can be see with the naked eye, but just needs particles to light up, before we actually can tell where it is...

Is an IR Laser an impossibilty? I thought IR was just a band in the light spectrum?
|
Laser is just a focued beam of light:
= an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation; an optical device that produces an intense monochromatic beam of coherent light So yes, you could have an IR laser...or any spectrum of light. Whether it's visible depends on the spectrum... |
