I like drifting too!

I can never drift in this game. I mean yeah I can get the tail out (slightly) for a while but cant really control and call it a drift. I guess it is too hard to drift with DS2 (Game Pad), you need to have a precise control over the steering which I dont seem to have with the analog sticks!
Can someone drift properly with the DS2? Can u gimme some pointers?

le mans and bentley speed 8 is my favourite combination.

For drifting take a car with 300+ bhp(not a rule) and put on comfort tires. Not only does it seem the most natural for racing, and in terms of laptimes, but it produces very natural feeling drifts. Certainly not easy, but with a wheel putting on opposite lock feels great and produces predicatable results.

The M3 is car that likes to oversteer because of the chassis. The Yellowbird is similar, but much more difficult to control and it creates a lot more oversteer.(and that is before you put on the power:P ) For power drifts take out the M5.

I acutally just got GT4 yesterday and i'm learning... But so far the NSX on Laguna or the new M5. I was quite dissapointed by the brakes on the E55.

mabey its because of blatent over-playing... but i've grown to love the NSX-R with Medium racing tires on the Nurburgring ;) .... i know a 7:05 can be done by me... i just havent made it there lol

ho hum... another dynamic car... the Ruf RGT around NS with Sport soft is even quite fun.... again, on NS :mrgreen:

i havent yet tried the CTR yellowbird... on NS... but i'd guess a venture that its pretty fun too :lol:

CTR and the North Loop is by far my favourite.... it's also the "yardstick"" I used to evaluate GT4 vs Forza vs Enthusia.

ive never played enthusia, i have limited experience with forza...

hows the comparison?? my guess is there isn't anywhere near the involvement of a force feedback wheel in Forza... and im not sure what system enthusia is for...

things i get upset in GT4 with are few... but annoying:
no donuts... it's too easy for low speed power to the pavement... also why GTR totally rocks ;)
the steering wheel feels too small to catch slides accurately
arbitrary, and unnamed units for costom settings... WTF is 108 rear d/f? etc.

my limited experience in Forza says that its too easy to catch a slide. bump phisics still work :P

fully modded z06 with racing tires on the North Loop, such a beautiful, predictable car, on a fabolous track. :D :D

you see... fully predictable cars just arent quite what im looking for... they get a tad on the dull side in the game... i like having twitchy cars that are very fast... but require that extra attention to braking style and points... and sensetive to throttle mid corner, and on the exit... so, i guess i like predictably dificult :P thats why i like the NSX-R... its very very sensitive to braking... and the Ruf is sensitive everywhere else.
Although i love playing with the costom suspension/gear ratios for faster times.

NSX on Laguna Seca as well.

you might be suprised that making a costom NS suspension will lower your lap time by as much as it will... for the NSX-R... i'd guess you could hit a 6:50 or so with Medium race tires + race suspension configurations.
