BANNERS !!!
 

As some of you may have noticed we now have our first banner in place (swiss car sightings)...big thanks to Dan as always for getting it done so quickly.

I hope you will all agree so long as its the right type of banner it can actually make the site look better rather than worse.

Should you know of any sites that have any such suitable banners and are of a similar theme to JW then please post your links here.

Thanks...and thanks to Dan for all the hard work and long hours he has been putting in trying to keep the Jabba happy....(not an easy thing to do).

seems like i'm in the minority of people who suddenly don't like the idea :( I thought it would be a good idea at first as a way to attract new members, but in the subblack setting (which is the best one imo) those new banners kind of put me off a bit. at least the location of them. But i'm also one of those people who hate banner ads of any kind anywhere on the page. I hate being advertised at.

Personally i think this would be better overall if we had a links page set up dedicated to just the banners. That way we could classify them into manufacturer, pic, vid, discussion, etc. That way, anyone who is looking for pics or discussion info on a certain make of car or whatever it may be, can just go to the links page and look it up from there instead of being bombarded by unwanted visuals that most would regard as clutter. A couple sites i visit have too many banners (ie consumptionjunction.com ) and it just gets to the point where i want to see the update and get the hell out of there.

Maybe that's just me though :|
