Problem: XP (home) reinstall on my laptop . . .
I reformated and reinstalled my XP OS on my laptop yesterday. My computer is running faster, but i noticed that a few things aren't up to par:
(1) the shut down option are limited to "shut down" and "restart." http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/737...hot14au.th.jpg (2) closing the "lid" gives me the sole option of "do nothing." * I fiddled with different power schemes, and still the same result. http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/8...hot38xo.th.jpg (3) the not all of the one touch launch buttons (at the top of my laptop) and "mute" buttons (at the side of my laptop) aren't working. * searched on the HP site for driver and software aps and they aren't available. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...&dlc=en&os=228 Any suggestions? |
seems like a case where there was software bundled from the wherehouse built into xp... is it the same windows xp home disk the computer came with?

i just found the disk. i thought it was a "recovery disk", it had all the drivers and software i needed. thanks anyway.
