The sultan of Brunei's brother owns all the rest of those celebrities when it comes to cars. I wish the Sultan of Brunei was my brother, so I could take one of those McLaren F1s for a spin...around Eurpe.

Well Yea the sultan's Bro does win hands down on the MacLaren factor alone, however i would bet that Jay Leno has more cars toatl. (3 huge airplane hangers), and come on i can almost understand 2 MacLaren's, but 8, now that is just being gready, he should leave a couple for the rest of us, (that is probably more than 10% of the remaining Mac's in existence),

Oh yea a typo (i think) there is no such think as a 4.8 BMW X5 only 3.0 4.4 and 4.6.

CHeck out this month's issuse of Top Gear Magazine. The Sultan of Brunei (or his brother Prince Jefri) has somewhere in the neighbourhood of 4000 to 5000 cars (all exotics), stored in air conditioned warehouses. I read that they pruchased around 70 cars per year from Rolls ROyce and around 30 from Aston Martin in the late 80's. One of their criteria for choosing a car was that it must be unique (meaning nobody else has one), thus their collection of concept cars. And the Sultan also possesses a collection of winning formula one cars.

In addition to cars, the Sultan also has an Apache helicopter (so vulgar :mrgreen: ), a Jet (737 if I remember correctly), a 737 simulator, and luxury yachts (one of them is named Tits :lol: )

To me its sad to know that most of these cars will not even see the open road once in a year. What a waste.

ANd one interesting stat: it was said that Prince Jefri spent on avg $700,000 (either dollars or pounds, didn't rememer) per day for a number of years. Luckily his nation has plenty of oil to back him up.

The Sultan besides having a collection of more than 5000 cars, stored in temperature controled hangars....has a Palace that is larger than the VATICAN!!! it has 1700 something rooms!!! it's ridicoulusly enormous! it's worth like a billion dollars or something it's amazing, they opens it's doors for 3 days a year, and people that visits it gets a free meal...he also has collections of Yatchs and even Castles around the world, he also collects horses...

He has so many exotics that even ferrari denied him some F50s so he turned to the black market to get them...he's got them in all colors available, same with most Ferraris he owns...can you image being so rich that you could tell such a prestigeous company like Ferrari to make a car just for you! and he has lots of other crazy ass cars, bunch of concept cars, and one off editions....he also has one of the three F50GT if I'm not mistaken.

And the local people of Brunei pay no taxes, gets power, water, phone, health, education...for free! they even get a trip to Mecca every year for free!...local people don't work, they import the working force from other countries.

Dude you are sooooo wrong...the 5000 plus number was quite a while ago...and rumors say that the Sultan started buying cars again a few years ago...so now he must have a lot mor...no way Leno has more than 5000 cars.

The FX is not the Enzo. The press is to blame for the confusion about this I guess. FX is the name they came up with for the Enzo-project before the name Enzo was revealed, while FX is the official name for the car specially made for the Sultan of Brunei by Pininfarina and Ferrari. This is the information fast-autos.net has on the car.
Very little is known about the FX. The car was specially made by Ferrari for the Sultan of Brunei and is loosely based off the 512M and was designed by Pininfarina. It uses the same 4.9 liter flat-12 engine, but the power output is unknown. Anywhere between two and eight cars were produced, but the exact number is unknown. The main feature of the car is the transmission, which was developed by Williams BMW. The 6-speed sequential is similar to the unit found in the William's Formula 1 car, and supposedly cost over $1 million.
