Ferrari tyre boxes

The FIA is believed to be satisfied that the devices do not contravene Article 75F of Formula 1’s Sporting Regulations, which stipulates that, “The only permitted type of tyre heating devices are blankets which use resistive heating elements.” I just don't get the FIA..... |

They should clarify this, but it seems legal to me. Anyway, this system isn't the cause of a better Qualifying Performance. At Monaco, when they were inttroduced, the Qualifiyng pace was dreadful and at Europe and Canada the good Quali pace was just the result of a different strategy. And the others are developing it too, so yeah. |
Let me explain: the rules do not stipulate which material can the blanket be made from, which part of wheel can it cover, how far from wheel can it be ... The only clear part of the rule is that resistant heatig elements must be used. So yes, the ferratri device does not contravene the rules as they are written.
Of course, as the FIA is full of idiots writing those rules, these rules are full of holes which some people are very adept of using - and they have every right to do so ... |
but how? FIA FAVORS FERRARI!!!! WHy would they do anything to harm them????
|
FIA favors nobody, they just arent able to write rules worth anything. Bunch of idiots writig strange stuff full of holes (well, at least they stand by them). Ferrari is just best team when there's a need to exploit those holes - but not at building fast racecars anymore, it seems

look @ fast lap charts, and speed trap speeds. their tires are shit, and don't work well for them in races or qual. but now it looks like they might be turing a new leaf. |

Comebacks like that are instant-on ;) - but I am all spent with regard to F1 now, so you can safely go about your business :P |

true the rules are imprecise, but this allows for a lot of exploration and experimenting with new technology, it is progress, something F1 is all about or should be; rules should make sure that no F1 team has an unfair advantage, but should not stop them from thinking outside the box or inside for that matter
