World Has Finally Gone Mad

Apparently now squirting water at someone constitutes assualt  Have a sense of humour..... Tom Cruise is officially a complete arsehole.

I disagre AL. I would rage like no other if somebody squirted me in the face. I understand jokes, and pranks - this wasn't funny though. Actually i simply respect the fact he didn't straight up sock the guy.
I doubt most people would respond happily if for example you were strolling through a public place tomorrow, and a complete stranger just squirted you? I certainly wouldn't

well I was mostly on about the possibility of assualt charges  But They open themselves up to this sort of thing being famous they are always a target for jokes. Look how Sharon Osborne responded, in the spirit it was intended rather than calling in the police. That's retarded what a waste of time and money  Sounded like a bloody kid

i got squirted in the face by 4 little kids yesterday, maybe i shoudl tell there parents im gettin them done for assault, lol yeah right, were havin a hot few days here in the UK so heres gis's warning....

if your driving down a road to a friend or relatives house in hot weather with your windows down and see 4 little kids stood with 4 huge water pistols, those big cannon things that are like 3-4 foot long, dont think your clever by saying "what ill do is get near them doin 5mph to think they are gonna have an easy target and then floor it and shoot off"......all great....a master plan......till you forget you have your windows down which they can see and just shoot you anyway

Cruise, 42, was on a red-carpet walkabout prior to the screening of the latest adaptation of the H.G. Wells classic in London's Leicester Square on Sunday when a bogus journalist stuck a joke microphone in front of him.
The source of a large part of the problem... a "red carpet" walabout...??? This idiot is an ACTOR for God's sakes.. he isn't a war hero, or a race car driver, or a fighter pilot, or sports agent.. he only plays thes eon screen - so already his self-iportance is raised 50 fold by being a "celebrity" which in and of itself should be illegal.. :)

Quote:

As Cruise started to talk, he was squirted with water from the microphone prompting the star to lose his cool.
apparently he doesn't know he is nothing special and just a freaking actor - ;)

Quote:

"I'm here giving you an interview, answering your questions and you do something really nasty ... you're a jerk ... jerk ... you're a jerk," the actor told the prankster in front of legitimate reporters.
Maybe someone should have reminded him that he isn't teaching any one, curing anyone or helping anyone - he's just giving an interview - that's his job to be in the public spotlight and rediculed.. ;)

Never really like Tom Cruise - now I have another reason... he's a jerk, jerk, jerk. :)

The other side of the coin is the current "craze" of "Happy Slapping" in the uk...where you slap someone around the face while someone records it on their mobile phone...which is later then shared around the net....

This is now out of control as everyone is trying to go one better than the last video....already we have had a homeless person set on fire (almost burnt to death) and last weekend two 14 year old boys raped a 12 year old at school while someone video'ed it....

I guess there is a fine line between a "joke" and an "assault"...

RC45 06-20-2005 10:55 AM

Wow - dunno what's so happy about fire or slappy about rape..

That does seem a bit out of control...

The people that do it think its a joke...I have seen them being interviewed and they think its like a jack ass gag...then they showed you the boy with the black eye and burst ear drum....I just hope they do it to the wrong person one day and get a little of their "fun" thrown back at them...

gis 06-20-2005 11:27 AM

yeah this happy slapping thing has gotton way out of control,as you say Jabba one person is tryin to "do better" than the other.but goin as far as settin people on fire and raping people, its gotta stop.

Jabba 06-20-2005 11:27 AM

Yep they always seem to pick on easy targets : the old, very young, homeless etc

I wonder if anyone has thought about "happy slapping" mike tyson ?

A Government-backed task force is to be set up to advise on how to improve the behaviour of children.

Its job will be to formulate a new national code of behaviour, setting out minimum standards expected from pupils.
Well, well, well - NOW they want to create a task force to "enforce good behaviour"....

Maybe they should have thought about that before they removed all boundaries and discipline from schools...

Looking back now, I am rather glad I attending an all boys boarding school that had a strict dress code, behaviour code, honour code and ethics code - as well as sanctioned corporal punishment in the form of caning for serious transgressions.

Spare the rod and spoil an entire naiton...

ARMAN 06-20-2005 12:51 PM

:? I wouldnt be happy also, probably would tell him same(or something more, I am not a star  ). He was infront of several other cameras and I am not sure that Cruise know that channel show compared to Ozborns wife. I say jerks jerks jerks 8)

About those dumb kids, they have to meet MIHAI-like guy and make theyr "joke" to him and he'll provide them a lesson in mortal kombat

Z3uS 06-20-2005 01:50 PM

ahh cīmon! For fuck sake its just water!

If he wasnt a "star" ppl would see it as a "normal" thing, not a police case shit.
