Gutted by warentee clause/salesman-Digi cam is *in ICU !
typical fassion; but i didnt read the fine print a year ago. my $700 camera is not covered by accidents whatsoever :2gunfire:
so now, i have to waite 10 buisness days for a company in CT to tell me its going to cost that much to repair it... damn! anyway, what happened i already said in the vacation forum... but it fell in the river, and now the CCD doesnt work... not to mention all the water spots on the lens. fuck... dont ever buy a 'protection plan' from circuit city now i have no camera for the GP... a wedding... mabey in time for the 360 event  |
well better get a friends or family camera quick for the GP :D
|
well, i thought that letting 'er dry for 4 days was enough to even try and test her... well, on the 5th day... OMFG!!! thank god i didnt send it out to get fixed yet!!!!!!
the CCD started working once again, and it just needs a severe case of cleaning out the water-spots... so im off to buy some tools to get the job done... screw the warenty guys  the ~only problem, is now the battery doesnt want to be recognized, so it keeps shutting itself off because of some gay sony proprietary crap... time to ring em up again :D :D :D :D :D :D |
LOL... i can't believe you thought that you were covered for accidents..... that's what insurance is for.... warranties usually (read - almost always) only cover "workmanship defects, NOT accidental damage and improper use"
Anyways... at least it's healed itself now :) You will be able to take lots of pretty pictures to share with us lot too 8) |

meh.... cleaned the lenses, came up with extra screws...
and the result slightly better :? well, im going to send it tomarrow off to the 'fix it' place afterall |
Another thought.. is it not covered under your home/personal insurance. Here in the UK, we would probably claim for it using our house insurance. :?
