Acrobat writer
 

I need to convert a text file into a pdf file but I have zero idea how. I tried and I was directed to the Acrobat website, I filled out a form, and converted a text file but now I can't retrieve it.

Does anyone know how this process works? I need to send this pdf via email.

I can convert it for you if you like. I'll send you an pm with my e-mail adres. Just send it there (if not more then 2 mb) and I'll return it to you in pdf by tomorrow. (I'm out this evening.)

I did this a while ago.
Just go to www.primopdf.com and download the free program.

It will install a virtual printer on your system, so to convert PDF you just print to the PrimoPDF printer
