Driving mission 11

HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

EDIT: I can't beat it. No matter how hard I try, I can only come within 3 seconds of the lead car. Any hints/tips/tricks? How easy was it for you guys?

good topic ... next time try using more words to describe the problem

3 seconds? You are getting there man. Try taking as many short cuts as you can that wont slow you down and try drafting for a longer period of time.

tuffguy 04-20-2005 02:22 PM

Was it hard for you to pass that level?

TT 04-20-2005 02:32 PM

I don't even remember exactly wich one is the 11th, but I did the first 15 or 20 without too many troubles as far as I remember (can't check now).. the key is always the same, try, try and TRY again

It's the 3 lap battle around New York in the old Toyota Celica 2000GT. I hate that car. Too much body roll, shifts take too long... hate hate hate.

RAMAN 04-20-2005 02:48 PM

I passed M11, and still got 4 missions left. (SLR, GT-R draft, :x JGTC NSX, and the La Sarthe 3 lap thing) :x

Back on topic, I think the key to this mission is the first brake point into the roundabout, the right turn after the long straight after the roundabout, and the hairpin before the final straight. You nail those 3 corners and your chances of winning should be pretty good.

If posting the T-times for each sector helps, I can probably do that.

tuffguy 04-20-2005 02:52 PM

Thanks, that would help. I'll post mine too when I get home.

Hmm....usually it takes me so many tries so I cant really rember. Plus I havent played GT4 on school days. Too much homework and shit and then working out for 1 hour my schedule is full. But since I am already fit except the damn 4 or 5 pack I got becuase of spring break I must workout and 1 hour and then it will be 30 mins a day. :D Anyways as TT said KEEP TRYING AND TRYING!!!

tuffguy 04-20-2005 06:32 PM

Yeah... I'm not too used to trying very hard to pass a level. Once I hit 10 attempts, I started to worry.

The numbers below are my time behind car #1 each time the red time shows up. My laps were less than perfect but I caught up with the Mazda at the last hairpin. :D

1st lap:

+26.442secs
+23.331
+19.924

Lap 2:

+16.772secs
+13.176
+9.468

Lap 3:

+6.282secs
+2.187
-1.196

Mission Accomplished. Final lap time - 6.42.266 or less, since I pressed the hand brake and slid down the finish line teasing my opponents.

It took me a lot of try to get it too ... I couldn't imagine that it was possible  But finally I improved my driving and I pass it

We're similar during the first 2/3 of the lap. It looks like I really need to work on that final corner!

Thanks for the help!
