Am guessing it's a P3 because of the plastic hinges.

Pimp Racer 04-17-2005 12:03 PM

Indeed its a P3 guys. :D Sorry let me get the specs. :)

I believe they are - 64 MB of ram and then another 64 MB's of extended ram. No clue what the hell that is. ATI graphics card. Windows 2000 pro. 20 gigs HDD. 600 MHZ processor. Bought in 2002 I believe and cant rember the price. Its really nice since its BLACK! The specs for my Old School Dell XPS is 600 MHZ processor. 128MB ram. 11 gig HDD. 2400 USD. Bought in 1999

I got more pictures if yall want! :D

Well this is my first laptop that I have owned so I cant really compare it againts others BUT! This Laptop has 64 Mb's of ram and then another 64 MB's of extended ram which I have no clue what it is but it runs very nice and smooth! THe screen is only 10 in big and I wouldnt have it any other way. Mine is an X20 I believe. What kinda stuff are you gonna be doing on your Laptop?

*EDIT*

BTW its a 2002 model so I am sure they improved on this beast by a mile or two!

thinkpads always get good reviews, too bad they look ugy. I like Toshibas better. Depends what you want them for. ThinkPads are good for business people, as the baterly last long and somewhat good specs. If you, however, want a desktop replacement, Toshiba is the way to go.

Pimp Racer 04-17-2005 12:18 PM

I personally like the looks of the ThinkPad since its all BLACK! It looks very stunning! The battery is good. On mine it lasts like 2 hours and 30 mins to 3 hours I think? But the newer ones are probably like at least 5 - 6 hours! They are a bit expensive I believe. I will upload some more pictures in a few. :)

Anyway, seems nice. I'd love to have a laptop myself, oh well, someday...

Here is the series that I have - X series.

*NOTICE* these are the latest ones.

The price is alot for a computer so you might wanna try and look at another series such as the R ot G series. I heard the R series sucks though?

DeMoN 04-17-2005 01:45 PM

colorwise its nice, black... but shapewize its too square IMO. Take a look at alienware's area51m laptop (except its too thik) its shape is great.

The IBM Thinkpads are like laptop verison of Volvo. You can literally do anything do them and they'll survive. You should look into the T series, been using a T40 (titanium reinforced plastic case) at work. It's reasonably light and does comes with a dvd-rom.

I'm sorta consider getting a laptop as well. Have narrowed it down to either the Dell 700m or the IBM T42. Cost about the same and weight about the same too. The thinkpad is 3-4cm wider, however...

Pimp Racer 04-17-2005 04:18 PM

AlienDB7 get the Thinkpad since you can drop it and it wont break!

BTW I understand what ya mean DeMoN.

MBW124 04-17-2005 04:54 PM

Think Pads are really great lap tops. The company I work for use to supply IBM notebooks until we changed out to Dell. Hey, still got a pair of notebooks laying around.
