Moto GP - Jerez

Anyone else watch the race?
That last lap was just sensational - it just doesn't get any better then that in motorsport
What did you think of the Rossi/Gibernau 'incident'? I think that Rossi should have been penalised and Gibernau given the victory, since he wouldn't have gone off track and Rossi probably would have taken a wide line if not for bumping into him
I have replayed that last lap about 5 times now, so exciting :D

Disagree...IMO, Gibernau opened too much the door and Valentino tried to take advantage of it. Certainly, it was not a clean action but watching the video again and again, I think that Gibernau realised that he had commited an error and didn't want to change his line when Valentino was already in advantage. If Gibernau had slightly opened his trajectory, they probably wouldn't have touched each other and thanks to the Honda's acceleration would have had the chance to win. As dani has said, just a race incident, nothing more...

I dont think Rossi must be penalised, but that wasnt a clean action, it was a space, ok, but he didnt have a chance to pass gibernau cleany...he was inside and was going to get outside, gibernau was on the good route (route ----> ive tyred to transalte the spanish word TRAZADA, the better and faster way... ).... but its a race accident.... but was dirty....

Hell of an ending!!!

Fortunately Sete didn't go down when entering the gravel, but as far as Rossi's move is concerned, you do what you've got to do to win. Learn to love it.

i don't like manoeuvres like that; "i'll go for it and use the other guy as a barrier". Last year in a DTM race Jean Alesi pulled the same thing on Frentzen. Yes, on both occasions there was space, but the space is there because they already passed the critical brakingpoint.

I really don't like it when racers do that, it's a lack of respect.

i saw the race. i just dl the race from a friend.
i think Rossi had the inside line already and Gibernau didn't see him. but that racing.
