 , well, I actually find it just a bit funny. It's a bad crash, but when
the guy screams, he reminds me of a retarded cartoon character. I can't remember his name......

imprezaWRC 03-09-2005 05:39 PM

What he screams is "no no no" in swedish. From what I've heard this crash was very serious but the driver survived.

Phew, that was bad. How did it just lose grip in there? What happened? That was scary.

It doesn`t seem to be an impreza.Look at the dashboard and also you can`t see the scoop.

SPEEDCORE 03-10-2005 06:27 AM

haha thats funny. it doesnt look that bad thou.

veteq 03-10-2005 07:36 AM

That was a heavy crash, if you look at the speedo, we was doing over 160 km/h when it got away. two weeks ago, I had a very similar accident on a local highway, at much lower speed (on snow) and it hit the barrier the very same way. Not much left of the car. The insurance company wrote it off. It doesn't look like a newer Subaru though, I have a WRX and the interior doesn't look like that (I wasn't driving the suby that day, had I been, never would have crashed)

Thanks for the vid Mosdrops!!!!

look like a verson 2-4 MY94-96 perhaps but it doesnt sound like a WRX though.

To me it looks like lift off oversteer, it can happen at high speeds with a WRX, here exassrbated in the wet. I remember one of the WRX club member talking about, he almost got into a seriuos accident because he never encountered it with a WRX and lift off oversteer in a AWD seems conuter intuative.

@Veteq, what did u total anyway?

Flotch 03-10-2005 09:09 AM

amazing

hwe 03-10-2005 10:25 AM

I have read it was a civic, and that the driver was unconscious for 30 seconds, but got away without injuries. 60 G's in the impact.

I agree, thats what it looked like to me too. He could have caught it though he was late to steer into it.
I got into a few close shaves when i used to drive a landrover, even that would lift off oversteer quite profoundly! And that was a bit of a bugger to catch!

If its a civic it must be turbo'd then cus its got a turbo timer on the dash. It doesnt sound like a civic engine to me either. It does have the sound of a flat 4 with an equal length manifold. But as has been said there is no bonnet scoop visible.
Anyone have some definative info on this crash?

bultaco_metralla 03-10-2005 01:12 PM

wow, its very hard !!!
