My ride in a TVR Tuscan S *edit* with story
 

I will do a more detailed story of events later this afternoon, but to cut a long story short;

A good friend of my dad came over, and just happened to bring his "little weekend toy". I would have been the first to criticise him for paying that much for a Trevor when considering what else he could have bought for the money, but one short trip on a dual carriageway has changed all of that.

The beauty and savagery of the car in the metal is incredible, not to mention the interior detailing. But the real thrill was the chills that get sent down your spine when that straight six fires up.. :twisted:

Actually, especially for a brit, I can't really see any better way to spend your money! TVRs rock seriously! And they are much cooler than the more "common sense" choices!!

Great car, saw one a few months ago, and I freezed when the guy started the engine!!

My dad had a TVR S2 as his last company car before he retired (he was single at the time). I was insured as I am related to him, but he never let me drive it. I was only 17 mind you!

I think it was a 2.9 V6 (Ford engine)

I mean I couldnt do that much damage with only the Ford V6 under the hood could I :mrgreen: ?

Ha, till you try living with one TT.
I had a ride in a cerbera, after being let in by the driver as the passenger door opening button was broken. Then bumpstarting it cus the starter motor was having a day off. And then IMO it sounded like a bag of nails, it was to be serviced soon after that and sounded well off.

The new sixes are different i've heard (more reliable) but to me TVR build quality will always err on poor the side of average.

Good fun cars though, undoubtably just with them being so 'bang for buck' fast then the cash had to be saved somewhere. (R&D!!)

Yes I heard many complaints about reliability, but don't think Ferraris and Lambos are THAT reliable ;) especially if we look back a generation or two ;)

That's what a supercar is supposed to be too :D if you don't want to live with it, you usually buy an SL55 :D
