My Alfa 75 QV *UPDATED*

*UPDATE*

Hey again,

Just thought I'd post some more pictures and inform you all of the plans for my car and the changes it is currently undergoing.

I recently purchased a 3.5L V6 12V race engine from Glenwood Motors in South Africa, built by Dawie De Villiers. I conducted all my business with John van Rensburg from the USA.

Engine Stuff

Turbo liners
Forged Keith Black pistons (giving 3.5L)
Total Seal Competition rings
Full ported & polished heads
Standard valves with Recut angles
Billet Cams (Plasma treated/nitrated)
46mm customer headers (extractors)
Lightened & Balanced flywheel
GoTech Pro stand-alone engine management
50mm intake plenum
Cast aluminium intake runners matched to intake ports

My car (within 2 weeks) will now be equipped with

Engine:-
3.5L V6
Complete custom exhaust

Suspension/Handling:-
28.7mm torsion bars (From Beninca in Melbourne)
24mm Adjustable rear sway bar (From Beninca in Melbourne)
Matched rear springs (From Beninca in Melbourne)
Koni SA's all round

The car also now rides on MAK Stings, 16"x7.5", atm its on 205/50R16 Falken Azenis ST115 rubber, but next set of tyres will be 225/45/16 front and 245/45/16 rear.

That's because it is.

The "Milano" is the 75 to the rest of the world. American name change.

And I've only ever scraped the front once, I felt bad enough. I figure I wont to it again, however the front of my car is *covered* in stone chips. I figure the bottom bit would get raped by stones around here.

I'm open to suggestions :) Thanks for the post.

yay another alfa owner  smart looking car too ;)

one comment, I dont think you really want 38.7mm Torsion bars (surely thats a typo) , I have 27mm ones on my old car (not fitted to the new one yet) and those are plenty stiff enough for road/light track use in conjunction with uprated rear springs and a bigger front A/R (sway) bar ;)

Heh, yea it was a typo (oops) 28.7mm I mean. My car never see's the track (well, not yet) and its a bigger rear sway (anti-roll then :P) bar, not front (If I read that correctly). Nice and uncomfortable, especially on these shitty roads.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :D And Iwan, I'd get done for it here too, it's just that my car doesn't attract any police attention (except for that one time ).

I see everyone prefers the black underneath, hmm. Maybe changed my mind. Oh and theres a nice red GTV6 in the family too. This 75 has been with me all my life. It's one month younger than I am, pictures of me as a baby in the back seat :D

Thanks again for the welcome :)
