Ixo is going bananas! Ferrari galore...
Ixo has big plans for a range of Ferraris in 1/43! I don't know how many years it will take them to complete this list, but I don't care. As long as they do it!
Last saturday I saw the first two models of this series: the Enzo and the 288 GTO. Quality is comparable to Minichamps and prices are very reasonable. This is gonna be good... :D (List as posted by moulag on Ferrarichat) Proposed La Storia 125 F1 Raymond SOMMER 1948 Italian GP (1st Ferrari GP) 125 F1 Alberto ASCARI 1949 Italian GP 340F1 Alberto ASCARI 1950 Geneva GP das Nations 375 F1 Froilan GONZALES 1951 British GP Silverstone 500 F2 Alberto ASCARI 1952 German GP Nurburgring 500 F2 Alberto ASCARI 1953 British GP Silverstone 553F1 Supersqualo Mike HAWTHORN 1954 Spanish GP Pedralbes 625 Maurice TRINTIGNANT 1955 Monaco GP D50 Juan Manuel FANGIO 1956 German GP Nurburgring 801 Luigi MUSSO 1957 French GP Rouen 246 F1 Mike HAWTHORN 1958 French GP Reims 256 F1 Tony BROOKS 1959 German GP Avus 256 F1 Wolfgang VON TRIPS 1960 Argentina GP 156 F1 Phil HILL 1961 Italian GP Monza 156 F1 Lorenzo BANDINI 1962 TBA 156 F1 John SURTEES 1963 German GP Nurburgring 158 F1 John SURTEES 1964 Italian GP Monza 512 F1 Lorenzo BANDINI 1965 Monaco GP 312 F1 Ludovico SCARFIOTI 1966 Italian GP Monza 312 F1 Chris AMON 1967 British GP Silverstone 312 F1 Jacky ICKX 1968 French GP Rouen 312 F1 Chris AMON 1969 Dutch GP Zandvoort 312B Jacky ICKX 1970 Canada GP S.Jovite 312B2 Mario ANDRETTI 1971 German GP Nurburgring 312B2 Jacky ICKX 1972 German GP Nurburgring 312B3 Arturo MERZARIO 1973 Austrian GP 312B3/74 Clay REGAZZONI 1974 German GP Nurburgring 312T Niki LAUDA 1975 Monaco GP 312T2 Clay REGAZZONI 1976 USA GP Long Beach 312T2 Niki LAUDA 1977 German GP Hockenheim 312T3 Carlos REUTEMANN 1978 British GP Brands Hatch 312T4 Jody SCHECKTER 1979 Monaco GP 312T5 Gilles VILLENEUVE 1980 French GP Le Castellet 126C Gilles VILLENEUVE 1981 Monaco GP 126C2 Didier PIRONI 1982 Dutch GP Zandvoort 126C3 Rene ARNOUX 1983 German GP Hockenheim 126C4 Michele ALBORETO 1984 Belgian GP Zolder 156/85 Michele ALBORETO 1985 Canada GP Montreal F1 86 Michele ALBORETO 1986 Austrian GP F1 87 Gerhard BERGER 1987 Japanese GP Suzuka F1 88C Michele ALBORETO 1988 Italian GP Monza 640 / F1 89C Nigel MANSELL 1989 Hungary GP 641 / F190 Alain PROST 1990 French GP Paul Ricard 642 Alain PROST 1991 Spanish GP F92A Jean ALESI 1992 French GP F93A Jean ALESI 1993 Monaco GP 412T1B Gerhard BERGER 1994 German GP Hockenheim 412T2 Jean ALESI 1995 Canada GP F310 Michael SCHUMACHER 1996 Spanish GP Barcelona F310B Michael SCHUMACHER 1997 Japanese GP Suzuka F300 Michael SCHUMACHER 1998 British GP Silverstone F399 Eddie IRVINE 1999 German GP Hockenheim F1 2000 Michael SCHUMACHER 2000 USA GP Indianapolis F2001 Michael SCHUMACHER 2001 French GP Magny Cours F2002 Rubens BARRICHELLO 2002 German GP Nurburgring F2003 Michael SCHUMACHER 2003 TBA Proposed Street FER001 FERRARI ENZO red FER002 FERRARI 288GTO red FER003 FERRARI 575M red FER004 FERRARI 360 MODENA red FER005 FERRARI BB512 red FER006 FERRARI BB512LM TBA FER007 FERRARI F40 red FER008 FERRARI 360 SPIDER red FER009 FERRARI 612 SCAGLIETTI red FER010 FERRARI F40 RACING TBA FER011 FERRARI 360 STRADALE TBA FER012 FERRARI F50 red FER013 FERRARI 575GTC TBA FER014 FERRARI F430 red FER015 FERRARI F355 BERLINETTA red FER016 FERRARI BB512LM TBA FER017 FERRARI 360 MODENA yellow |
Marvellous to know some licenses finally went to IXO.. I saw the Enzo and 288 too, I was about to buy the 288 then went for something else.. The Enzo actually was pretty close to a Red Line like the one I have, and when you se them side by side, you wonder if you would pay more than 5 bucks for the IXO :( but in isolation it ain't half bad, and it's cheap afterall :D
I am interested in many of these cars anyway! |
Guys r u satisfied with IXO quality? I have a M3 GTR ALMS, and the decals work is not that good compared to the Minichamps model....
|
That would be nice (for me) if they were 1:18
I have also just found out that Exoto make a 1:18 Enzo, it costs $US 240 :o http://www02.exoto.com/Cashier/index...asp&Model1=115 has anyone seen the model in person yet? They also make a Vanquish and apparently an F50 is on the way :D |

Looks like the proper size to me... For the money they're asking for these models, I think the quality is excellent. I have one Ixo model of a Countach that I'm very satisfied with. |
dani was talking about the Exoto Enzo - the ones in the link I posted
|
oops... LOL
Damn, I shouldn't be doing more than one thing at a time! This is what you get. It explains why I didn't understand what he was on about.... |
Has anyone seen these new models from close?
I went at IXO site, and they have created a special section about their Ferrari line. They say that they will have many photoetched parts, new micromoulding techniques, and hand finished decoration... These things can be found only in handbuild models... Im really interested to see them from close. |
Well as far as I can see, only 288 and Enzo already hit the stores.. we have to wait and keep our eyes wide open! i just hope they won't release them all together :D
|
I have seen the Enzo and 288 GTO and they look very good. It's no BBR of course, but then again, it doesn't cost nearly as much.
I don't think it's even possible for Ixo to release them all at the same time. It'll probably take a couple of years. Even if they could do it within a year, they would know they're missing out on profit, because, like you and me, most people don't buy twenty or thirty models at one occasion. |
^^^^^^^
Yeap thats the article dani. :D |
2 new models were released, the 360 Modena and the 575M. www.ixomodels.com for more info!
|
That Exoto Enzo looks ugly like Dani said. I am waiting BBR Enzo 1/18.
|
Can't wait to find the Modena and Maranello!
I am starving lately! Finally today I got a new one, it almost was IXO's 288 GTO but then it became Minichamps' Merc 300SL gullwings I need to buy the 288 quickly before IXO will release even more red ladies :D |
