Fiesta RS Cancelled
Well...looks like Ford pussed out on the best-looking and best-performing hot hatch it would've had in quite a long time. Probably would've been on par with the 1st gen. Focus RS.

Assholes. That's what happen when you allow accountants to run a car company.
|
Awww that is such ashame! :cry: How can that not be fianancially viable? Who would'nt wanna buy that car?
Im sure it would have fitted in with the typeR and CooperS crowd? |
Well I don't find this news particularly shocking for one of two reasons;
1) The new fiesta ST has been panned by critics and so a more expensive fiesta with a similar chassis is hardly likely to be a massive success 2) They are still going ahead with it and they have just announced this to try and give the ST some shelf life before everybody waits for the RS. |
Sad news. I was planning to consider the Fiesta RS as a purchase upon my return to the UK. Not now by the looks of it. I hope AMAndy is right with reason 2, above
|
it probably would had been a pretty good car but i agree i dont think the market for that car would be that great outside of the UK..its quite pricy for a fiesta at the end of the day...

Those are bad news for the automotive comunity ! In memory of the Ford Focus RS I give you these photos, I saw this car a couple of days ago at a friend's car park 8)

Jesus christ...the bastards...

I'm pretty much disappointed as well...This would be an absolute hammer considering the info insiders have provided (230bhp+).

Is the car that was cancelled, the same one in the magazine ?? |
It is a shame indeed, i think it would have sold, but they are quite small inside. Would have been bloody rapid tho!!

Is it a proper road test? I doubt it. It has to be an evaluation of the concept....? |

It's a shame they cancelled it. As hot hatches go, that was looking pretty promising
