Does anyone know of other modifiers that specilise in Toyota?

I only know of C-One and TRD.

I want to spend some cash on fixing up the handling, coz right now it sucks shit. a barge can even turn better.

Eibach is the industry standard of a simple coil swap, tein will be a more advanced peice and should produce greater gains in the end but cost alot more.

as far as suspension tuning, what kind of car are we working with here?

oh yea i forgot about tom's. but i don't think they have anything with corollas

i'm just asking coz i thought i was going to buy all trd stuff, but they don't make everything. for example, the front swaybar. i have to buy it from c-one but its quite expensive so i'm just wondering if there are other companies that does it cheaper.

i'll be getting the trd suspension kit, if i can afford it. if i get a lot of stuff from the same shop i could prolly get a bigger discount

Try whiteline suspension, They make some great stuff, Koni also. Whiteline mostly make those rubber utherline bushes(not sure on spelling) and struts, swaybars, springs....there made here so they are fairly well priced also. I am getting a kit for my group A gt4, 3 week wait :x .....but should be good :mrgreen:

the corolla i'm talking about is zze123 with 2zz-ge engine.

i'm in hk/china atm so whiteline will have to wait till i get back thats if there is anything else i need in the handling department

How old is your Corolla? Does it have powersteering? If not I'd say your better off saving your money for a later model.

But if it does you might try simple stuff thats cheap and works.
-Replace the powersteering fluid and have them (eg Toyota) set the steeing the way you want it, eg very light, little free play (ie sensitive).

-How old are your tires? The most critical aspect of a cars handling thats often overlooked. Switch to new performance tires, I run Bridgestone potenza GIII, great all round tires. See whats best for your car.

-Tire rotation, wheel alinement and wheel balance.

-Suspention settings. For serious high speed conering set the front camber to 2 degree negative (some people suggest 3!) and 1 negative rear but bear in mind this will affect the tread wear of your tires (ie shorten the life). You can also run high castor too, check your car you might need adjustable suspention mounts, not that expensive. Simple suspenstion setting even on OEM shock (provided they're in good condition) will make all the diffrence in a corner. A lot of people put in struts and braces instead of simply setting the suspention, a waste of money plus adding any part to your car wil have a negative effect, usally a hard and noisy ride, which can be avoided by suspention settings.

Places like TRD will charge heaps, heaps of AFM places, that will do a great job for a lot less, as mentioned -Whiteline, Cusco are good too. But I doubt the parts will make the diffrence you want if is it isn't set correctly and the correct part you need, usally its the less expensive option, you just got to know what you need rather than whats is considered the "best".

trd is really cheap in hk. much much much cheaper than aust. i guess i have to stick with trd and c-one. since newer corollas ain't a performance car, most companies don't even deal with it.

I was lucky on the weekend to meet a toyota sportivo driver on my local twisty course with six other WRX drivers. He did a awesome mod of it, he's on hotfours forum. Have a look for him there, and ask about his mods, his rego plate was someting like; reflux or influx, on a red NSW plate.

Its a white Corolla sportivo that looks like a Honda civic type R with a carbon fiber hood including a hood scoop. It looked awesome and I don't partculary like "tuner" car look.
Anyways he said that you NEED a front brace for FWD and the stock coils don't match the stock dampers so you need coils to match the dampers. He also had a cold air intake on one side, where he removed on of the foglights, 110KW ATW!

This vechile was awesome, on the twisties it keeped up with WRX's and it was stable too :shock: impressive most impressive.
I saw a OZ drift champ there too, driving a sponsored silver AE86, he was drifintg there too! Nutty day at the local touge! :lol:

i make 110kw without any mods already. it just proves pointless chasing power with NA engines.
