Dont worry man - I am sure he wasnt in rush hour traffic when he hit the loud pedal

There are some open stretches in Texas where you can really hit top speed...I took my lil car up to 140 mph quite safely - there was like 5 mile visibility and no traffic when I did it.

Besides who knows his daughter might be the next Jill St. James or Milka Duno

Thanks - but not aiming to impress - just to get from point A to point B in a reasonable amount of time.. ;)

Shitting meslef? Nah - afterall, these events pictured never actually took place and the images are computer generated - right?

What makes 150 or 140 or 130 or 120 or 110 or 100 or 90 or 80 or 70 or 60 or 50 0r 40 any more or less safe than any other speed?

Not that the image is in any way real - of course.. ;)

Actually, message from "the little girl" - "Is that all we got?"

The entire series and sequence of events never actually took place, so I wouldn't worry too much... :P

I had no idea the Aussies were such a conciencious bunch...

well that should be pretty obvious I would think.....they don't say speed kills for nothing. I don't care if anyone drives that fast, in the end you will be the one punished if you push the limits......but since I assume you did it on a quiet piece of road its 'safer' then doing elsewhere. :)

Again - what makes 56mph or 156mph any more or less safer in a 55mph zone?

So - you do admit that there is nothing inherently "unsafe" about one speed over another... :)

Safety is rather a summary of conditions.... hence rush hour at 55mph on a 5 lane wide freeway with everyone tired and cranky after a long days work on the phone and listening to the radio and picking their noses is way more dangerous that any speed in the boonies.

But everyone is free to have their own opions.. - and again, considering the actual events as pictured never took place, I wouldn't worry about it...

dingo 12-28-2004 09:03 AM

well if you are doing 56mph and something happens up ahead you will have a much greater chance to react/stop/slowdown then if you were doing 156mph......but I can tell you will disagree, so lets hear it...... :P

Define "something happens"...

You mean an object materializes out of thin air? A sink hole opens up?

:)

I enjoy this debate - as people are quick to "shoot from the hip" but seldom can define and quanitfy their fears... ;) hehe
