Great and rare Maserati for sale

The Barchetta is not a well-known car, so I thought I'd make a topic out of this. I have seen these cars racing at Zandvoort and they're very fast and they sound amazing. I also think they look rather good. Unfortunately only 17 were made, so the chance of seeing one again is very slim. I remember walking to the stands along the main straight in the same directions the cars were going. The race had just started and suddenly the car in the lead (driven by John Nielsen if my memory serves me right) shot past. It scared the hell out of me, I hadn't heard it coming. But when it passed me it hit me with a wall of sound! It was almost like the cars were travelling faster than sound, LOL... Since the cars in this cup were all the same, it made for close racing. I'd love to see them again!

Thanks Dani!

And some pictures of the "Stradale" version, of which, sadly, only 1 static example was built. I would have liked to see that a lot of these roadgoing versions had been built. But I guess Maserati was a bit too early with what today would have been labelled a trackday special.

The bottom two pictures there are of a car that I saw in person when we took a trip to the Maserati factory and got a guided tour. The car was as beautiful then as it is now, though I actually think that the road-going version that was produced with the Fiat Coupe headlamps is an even finer-looking piece of automotive art.

I'm fairly sure I have a roadtest in Autocar Magazine of one of these as well...I'll see if I can dig it up over x-mas break while I'm at home. Thanks for the pics guys, always great to have more to add to the collection. :-D
