Looks like a focus in the front and then a Nissan Quest after the passanger doors.

The production model (the above pic is an impression) will be launched in 2006 as a replacement for the Galaxy. Apparently there will be two models: the D-Max (crossover) and the E-Max (big MPV).

i think it looks better than the c-max. especially the headlamps looks better.

so which cars is this supposed to compete with. Mazda mpv and Toyota Previa both seem larger although this looks better.

honda frv, fiat multipla , toyota corolla verso,, etc. mostly for the europen market..

toyota previa/sienna/picnic, mazda mpv are minvans..

in fact it is not a rival for honda frv, fiat multipla or corolla verso. C-max competes with these rivals. the real rivals are toyota picnic and vw sharan. but nowadays the boundaries of classes are not as clear as it was before. all of these seem to be in the same class but in fact that is not the case. vw sharan or ford galaxy is a different class between an upper class (renault espace, citroen c8 or 807) and a lower class (zafira, scenic touran etc...)
the main diference is this: zafira, scenic, touran, verso or C-MAX shares the same platform with a compact class car (like astra focus or a golf) but sharan and galaxy have its own platform (as far as i know in thios way) just like espace and c8 etc have their own. you can think in this way. zafira, touran or verso are the MPV versions of a compact classed car and sharan, galaxy etc are the MPV versions of a middle sized car (like mondeo, passat) :)

The D-Max doesn't exist yet. It will be a crossover version (higher ground clearance and offroad looks) of the E-Max (big MPV). And the E-max will be the slightly bigger replacement of the Galaxy.

That is pretty ugly. Well if thats what you guys get then i quess you can't complian.......Does it have AWD or 4x4?? then it would off set the looks some what.

Only FWD. But you can have a VW Sharan, which is actually the same car underneath, with 4WD (Haldex-system).

A cross between the Focus and the galaxy.

This segment is getting really crowded.

i think it is the rival for crysler voyager. nearly the same size.
