Is this one of the top 10 wonders of car accidents? It doesn't look like a car accident at all...

I saw these pictures years ago..
I thought it was an E36 3-series BMW..

i'm having a hard time believing this one. Where the hell is he front end?!?
i guess truth is stranger than fiction...but DAMN!! how that thing isn't on big carbon lump i don't know. I wonder how fast it was going to be able to do that...
where's Thamar? he might know something about this wreck.

looks more like modern art than a car crash. I doubt very much that this happened, the forces to required to crush the chassis compared to the forces needed to bend the tree over aren't anywhere near each other. Its not even a particuarly wide tree.... :P

ZfrkS62 09-29-2004 12:43 PM

that's what i thought too until i saw the gouges in the tree in pics 1 and 2.

mindgam3 09-29-2004 01:11 PM

isn't there blue string holding the door to the rear end going diagonally across in the second picture? I dont see any police around and if it had been an accident, surely they would have removed it as its a bit of a danger to people and other cars if they had another crash there?

Looks like the car turned into a snake and decided to warp around the tree....

MartijnGizmo 09-29-2004 02:14 PM

It's art, I believe from Poland or so, to warn young drivers for the risks of speeding. Look how the tree hardly has any damage.....
