Nikon Coolpix 4300 - and a flower
 
took my dad's digicam from his work today, Nikon Coolpix http://www.steves-digicams.com/2002_...nikon4300.html

will post more pics later, just took a pic of a flowerbed i have on my balcony at home.

just edited the size to 1000x650

mayb at work i might get out on break and take some car pics :) there have been an orange diablo and a about 10 360's snooping around this past week.

The flower is very beautiful. The first pic definitely isn't a winner because of the distracting background, but the second one is better. You might also want to get closer to (or zoom in on) the subject more so you won't have to crop as much (it's pretty obvious because of the pixelation..or is that just the resizing?). You might also want to play with the light more. By that I mean playing with the light angles and light metering. Keep up the good work!


BTW: I hope you don't take my criticism the wrong way. I'm merely trying to help you to get better pics. If you want me to stop giving you advice all you have to do is say so.

well i didn't crop it, it was the resizing and i lowered the quality for the web.

but i like the first pic because of the blur background.
just learning the camera, i was trained with a 35mm SLR, very different from a digi cam. with "manual" options

Et moi aussi. But the advantage of my camera is that it has all the manual settings an SLR has.
