enzo road legal?

Apparently the enzo is not road legal in Australia, because ferrari decided that it is not worth crash testing 5 cars to sell 5 cars.

SFDMALEX 09-20-2003 09:36 PM

Well, if I was Ferrari I wouldnt crash 5 Enzo's. One is good enough.

cho_888 09-20-2003 09:42 PM

Australia is really strict when it comes to things like this, however i dont think it will matter because if you can afford an enzo you can afford to have it transported to a track.

dis3as3d 09-20-2003 09:58 PM

Australia is really strict period, their gun laws are insanely strict. If i was Ferrari I wouldnt do it either.

cho_888 09-20-2003 10:17 PM

yeah they are strict, but we have low gun deaths. I saw the bowling for colibine or somthing and it said that there were 1151 gun deaths a year in the US!

blah 09-20-2003 10:44 PM

if you own a gun in the US, i think its 1/3 that you will hurt some one you love. The US has these rebel ass holes who wont even pass one gun law, infact the Assualt rifle ban might not be re-issued.

stracing 09-21-2003 02:37 AM

oh wells what can you do..our laws are pretty stupid as well. a thief can sue the victim (and wins) but the victim can't sue the theif

another stupid law that passed was under 18's cannot buy spray paints. a friend owns a hobby store say 1/3 of customers are under 18 and most use them for legit purposes.

but its all good that we have strict gun laws.

anyways whether the enzo was road legal or not, they're not gonna build some cars with right hand drive. its a good thing that its not road legal, that means whoever has just enough cash, doesn't have to pay tax and rego. the only downside is it must be transported.

possessed_beaver 09-21-2003 02:44 AM

in australia if there is a problem, they pass a law to try and get rid of it, not look at the problem that causes it.
and no the enzo isen't street legal...
not like the owners would ever take it out of the guarage.

but yeh, americans are pretty stupid when it comes to there trigger fingers

They are right. In fact, it would be a crime to crash an Enzo deliberately. Who makes up these rules?

actualy i don't beliueve that. because there is road legal lotus 340r's (there is only 340 of them in the world.. look the, up in google
)
and they are road legal, so i think it must be something else

jon_s 09-21-2003 03:04 PM

no - leave that duty to the rich ediot's that drive them, and can't handle them

oeggermo 09-22-2003 10:41 AM

Crashing 5 Enzos is insane and should be forbidden. I support safety, but why don't they do tests on the cars that is legal and acceptable for all countries so they only have to crash 5 of them and that is it. I never choose a job like that!!!!

I feel sorry for the people in Ausralia who want to buy an Enzo.
