Yeah all automatics have a huge delay while the slushbox or computer figures out whats going on. Even in triptronic or whatever they call it, it takes forever to shift up or down. I was driving my cousin's mazda6 and i tried to downshift and it took like three seconds and atleast one second on the ups.

A Tiptronic is a lot faster than that. But in general auto boxes do take a bit 'till they downshift when you floor them. Exceptions might be the super Mercs. |

Hi,
I think that the fact that you are more of a passenger because you don't shift makes you think it takes longer than it actually does... In my Dads 5 series putting the lever to S - Mode helps a bit. I'm fine with that. The more you drive with it, the more you like it... But still a manual gearbox is my favourite... Buba |
