For approx $50K you can get

4 doors - Mitsubishi Evo, M3, Cadillac CTS-V, 2001 BMW M5 apart from those mentioned above

2 doors - 2000 Porsche 996 or earlier 993s, Porsche Boxster S, Z06 Vette, Ferrari 308/328, M3, Lotus Elise

Depends on what you are looking for in your next ride ...

MercedeSChink 08-16-2004 01:20 AM

speed...luxury comes second, plus i can add the luxury after i finish the engine modding...

how bout a RX8, S2000? there meant to be alright

twboy1999 08-16-2004 01:22 AM

m3
c55 amg

btw
75000 inckluding tax,, or before tax

If you are into modding buy the Evo or STi or V6 S4 - they are a modders dream. RC45 tells me that there is a lot of modding potential in the Z06 as well.

All will give you an ultra fast ride

75,000 will buy an aweful lot of neon.. :P

well first off we have to find a car that is easy to get under to install the neons
but seriously for 75,000 I would buy a vette and mod the living hell out of it. 25k after the price of the car will get you one fast ass car and it would still be reliable and driveable. seriously now but since you seem to be the one who goes by the badge and a status symbol an M3 might be a nice choice, as long as you don't go down the MB path again.

MercedeSChink 08-16-2004 01:39 AM

not likin the vettes, sorry rc...

the rx8 sounds good, but the s2000 is a lil bit too small for my size

btw, its including tax

5vz-fe 08-16-2004 01:58 AM

STi would be the fastest tho it's short gearing will means u won't be winning in highway races.....

It is prolly more reliable when modded compared to 350z, G35...coz they have tranny issues even without mods. C32, it's fast, but auto, so no fun....and the new S4 has no turbo so the moddablity is not so good, and that the car itself is not that fast either.

T-Bird 08-16-2004 02:02 AM

well if you want to mod a car than the RX8 isn't the best choice.

Well I guess American cars are out of the equation aswell, Because for around $50k you could build one fast ass fuckin Focus RS8

Build-it-Yourself Ford Racing Focus RS8
2004 Focus ZX3 Premium $16,055
Focus RS front fenders (pair) $549
Focus RS rear quarter panels (pair) $699
Focus RS scuff plates $44
Focus RS rear wing $295
OZ Racing Superleggera III wheels (set) $3280
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires (set) $1,138
Focus RS shift knob $54.95
Focus RS emergency-brake handle $62.99
Focus RS steering wheel $140
Ford Racing A-pillar gauges $75
Focus RS Brake and suspension kit $2,500
5.0L Cammer Engine $14,995
Kugel Komponents rear-drive conversion kit $6,000
8.8-inch, 4.10:1 Traction-Lok Axle $799
T-5 transmission bell-housing $195
T-5 5-speed manual transmission $1,395
Hurst shifter $180
T-5 leather shift boot $75
T-5 leather shift knob $45
V-8 clutch Linkage $49
Heavy-duty clutch kit $260
Focus RS seats (pair) $1,500
15-gallon racing fuel cell $1,500
Roll-cage and racing harnesses $850
High-output stereo system and sub-woofer $3,000
subtotal, parts $39,681
Labor $10,000
Grand Total: $65,737

If you skimp on the Body Kit and other non-needed parts you could get it done for around $50k and If you have any knowledge in building cars you can save a little on labor aswell but I would guess you don't have the necessary skills involved in such a task.

hell that is the best sleeper car you could ever make and I've seen some that have done Cobra Motors instead and some TT versions aswell and they are even crazier.
I've seen a TT one before and the guy said he has trouble racing people off the line because he has to ease at the start just to get traction.

buy a 67 mustang or 69 Camaro for about $20k for a good one and buy a $10k crate motor and pour $20k into it making it into a G-machine or a straight line burner hell Banks makes nice TT 350 crate motors for GM's just throw that into a Camaro.
But once again I get the feeling you'd rather have a status symbol car with neons and wings.

twboy1999 08-16-2004 02:03 AM

c32/c55 75000... impossible

u could get sti, and the mods are cheap.. + very effective

also 350z... get greddy twin turbo.
that would be awsome

I think that goes over 75,000.

Nope they aren't that much especially considering it would have to be used unless for some odd reason one hasn't been sold yet.
You can find them for about $26k USD
