I hope this hasn't been posted before, but I find this site to be a nice reference point when it comes to quickly comparing performances figures. It contains performance figures of most performant cars of the past decades, and gives accurate acceleration figures and you can even create matches between several different cars.

Pretty old data though. Or it's Euro only.
