It's been a long time since i play it but don't you have to disable the electronics aids ?

dingo 08-12-2004 05:42 AM

You have to go into the car settings and turn down the traction control to 0. :D

Yeah, me, in the 700hp SVT Cobra...

...I don't have it on my real-life car though, which is not so much fun in the wet. Not that it rains much here...

I also have it set on 1 or 2 in certain cars (900hp Porsche, sorry RUF) so that you still get a little wheelspin but makes the car much more manageable.

i've found that a fully spanked up DB7 is the easiest to control with stupidly insane powerslides with smoke going eveywhere, great fun ;)

rachaderua 08-13-2004 05:24 PM

i never use , even with a 1000 hp car in hands... =P

Well if I use a joypad and have a car at 1000bhp I usually have TC at about 1 or 2 simply so I can set off, other whise the wheelspin is so drastic that i set off slower than everyother car, But now I have a wheel, n pedals, I can control the throttle much better so the TC can go back to 0.

anybody have that new Gran Turimo Racing Wheel? it costs as much as a PS2

RC45 08-13-2004 11:30 PM

I have the 900 degree wheel. (ready for GT4) It is ok for GT3 - limited to 270 degree (I think) - but it has had to be unplugged/plugged back in to fix a steering glitch a few times. I get better results with the Aluminium Momo wheel and GT3.

I have the GT3 wheel but am planning to get the GT4 one.

I used to downtune my 1072hp Viper GTS to about 600hp so it's driveable on the tighter turns..... 8)
