Honda Civic Type R

Hi guys!!!
I'm a new member oh this beautiful web site.
I love Honda Civic Type R and I would like to show that car!!
The performance are also very good for this kind of car:
0 - 100 Km/h ( 62 mph ) in 6.6 seconds
Reachs a top speed of 235 Km/h ( 146 mph ).
I hope you will like it and, if you want, tell me where I can find some pictures and videos of that " wonderful " car!!!!

I gotta say I like this car aswell, looks pretty cool IMO. Wudda bin better RWD but oh well it can still move. I even heard they put up a challenge against Subaru's n such on track, and they really shine on a wet track. But the styling and power for 16,000quid aint bad!

astonmartinandy 08-08-2004 08:47 AM

I like the car don't get me wrong, but I would never buy one given the money simply because of the way it looks like another mini MPV! Do you reckon a violent VTEC top end is a good thing? As in the rush of hitting 6000 RPM+ to hit the sweet spot, or wouldn't it get a bit tiresome to have to constantly rag the engine to keep it "on the boil"?!

stracing 08-08-2004 08:52 AM

yes it does get annoying, my corolla has a similar engine. also past six grand, the fun only lasts for like two seconds and then you're on the speed limit.

Daggernite 08-08-2004 11:00 AM

well yeah thats a good point. But if you are a track day person, I bet you can have alot of fun wit the typeR.

stracing 08-08-2004 11:07 AM

for sure its fun but some ppl like me, 1 full track day is not enough

Daggernite 08-08-2004 01:57 PM

:D Well you could buy your own track n spend 24 hours a day on it. That would be my dream come true. I just need to get rich first.

i like it too

2.0L n/a engine with 200hp...
with an highly sophisticated ivtec engine backed by superb honda realibility..
its unique interior design took a while to grow onto me... nut i like it...

even in north amerianca, we get the solar version , EP3 civic SIR... i still like it..
cheap, reliable, fun, practical, good on gas.. what else u want.. the hatch might look small, but when u sit in one , it doesnt look so small at all..

i have a honda ciivic si hatch now as a daily driver... and i cant complain with it..

astonmartinandy 08-09-2004 05:55 AM

Yeah I guess track days are the only way to exploit the power, but then would you want that type of power delivery from a road car that you are going to use everyday? Personally I think that a WRX/Evo 2nd hand for that sort of money would be much more interesting and more "usable" torque.

Civic Type R is one of the most capable FWD cars in it's class, and beats quite few cars in driving enjoyment...
