I wish my old 300E 4-Matic was that quick. Hard to believe it's a ten year old sedan from Mercedes, although with some help from Porsche. Guess this car was the first Merc to take up the competition with the M5. So glad they did..

Such a beautiful piece of machinery! The engine sounds so well made......i love V8's! :lol: My dad use's to have that shape 300E, and the biggest let down was the lack of grunt and pulling power, somthing the 500 has an abundance of! Thanks for the link btw :wink:

It really sounds great. At Mercedes they know how to give V8 a sweet sound (like the V8 in the Mclaren). This car is an icon.

Umm i do belive the Maclaren houses a 6.1 (12) BMW engine, but i could be wrong! If anyone know's just clarify it! :D
