These pics are from the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP), from last weekend.
I didn't get to take too many pics of the racing cars, too busy working on the formula autocross and acceleration events, and the weather was terrible this year.
the PVGP is a yearly event for charity, and this year was the year of the mini, so there were tons of mini's new and old that lead the parade lap between morning practice and afternoon racing.
it's great, there are tons of vintage and new exotic cars, race cars, and racing on real roads that are driven daily. and i sneak my car into the golf course (they wanted $125 to park with the other cars 8) ) although i was driving the "support" car for the formula race cars (so i had reason to be driving in and out of the show car area), it is absolutely hilarious how people will simply stop and look at a car just because it is parked in a closed off car show, even if it isn't within 300 feet of a show car and is simply a daily driver.
the racing takes place on a road course that goes through a golf course and onto a main street, over a bridge, then back into the golf course. it's funny i drove through the course as a chase vehicle for the race cars, and it's the slowest i've ever driven through those roads. :P
