For Discerning Driver Who Wants the Ultimate in M3 Handling Performance

BMW has announced the all-new Club Sport Package for the 2005 M3 Coupe. Already renowned for its performance and handling, the new Club Sport Package takes M3 performance to the razor's edge. Every aspect of the M3's handling has been tweaked resulting in the best-handling M3 ever.

The wheels are 19-inch forged-alloy wheels with high-performance tires. They connect to a suspension with more sporting calibration. Turn-in is quicker with a more direct steering ratio which goes from 15.4:1 to 14.5:1. The Dynamic Stability Control system includes a less intrusive M track mode to ensure that you can have the security of DSC and enjoy spirited driving too. For inclement conditions the regular DSC mode remains. To complement this increase in handling capability, the brakes have been modified to include compound and cross-drilled rotors. The front rotors have also been enlarged from12.8 to13.6 inches.

As the serious enthusiast would expect, the Club Sport Package is available in combination with the optional Sequential Manual Gearbox.

The interior enhancements of the package are subtle but purposeful. The Alcantara steering wheel and handbrake grip feel good to the touch. The addition of the steering wheel-mounted button for the DSC M track mode requires the deletion of the multi-function controls and cruise control. The Club Sport Package is available with all M3 Coupe interior and exterior color and trim combinations. Two options are exclusive to the Club Sport. Special Club Sport aluminum trim is available for the interior. A new exterior color, Interlagos Blue, is offered only with this package.

The Club Sport Package will be available for 2005 M3 Coupes beginning with December 2004 production. The price for the package is still to be announced.

yes, it will be available in both left and right hand drive countries. so yea, the US is getting them. you guys didn't get the csl? ouch....
at least you don't pay the us equivelant of $125,000 for a stock m3 though.. i guess it's give and take

A new m3, without options, is $168,000 AUS, and we are trading at around 70 us cents. so just some quick math 168k * .70 = roughly 117000 in us dollars.

also, i think our cars are made in the european factory (r/hand drive), and supply to our population of about 20 million. I guess the us market, being over 10 times the size with a local plant would make costs lower.
regardless, i love that car, and if there are some bmw enthusiasts on here i would love to get to know you all better.

I like how BMW offers so many cars that are all made for performance and they all ways try to out do themselves. But I hate this sequential garbage.

what do you hate about smg? i really doubt in the m3 i could go back to a manual. i have only been to a track twice in my life, (both in the last month, it's my new hobbie). one car was manual and the other smg - and i really believe that the smg allowed my novice driving to be a lot more improved. my father, who has a background in national rally driving, agrees.
however, i do not know what your experiences are and am interested to hear.

i had a really long explanation planned out, but ill do it up real simple: purity. (i dunno if thats the right word i was looking for)

This will make it an even better car, not as extreme as a CSL but still better than the normal M3. Let´s wait for the reviews :D

UPDATE: now that there is pics, would you fork out the extra cash for the package? do you think it's worth it?

Well that is good news that it will be in available in America....and this wont make up for us not getting the CSL...but I dont think they would sell that many at all..


Definitely agree, I have driven an M3 SMG and also an standard manual M3 and I just feel like I have more control over the car with the manual (because you do) and the SMG just feels synthetic...when you first start out driving the car and are getting used to it the SMG is much easier to drive fast...atleast for me because I'm not really good at timing shift points yet, but the feel of the manual is so much better...
