Who You believe that will be the next top force in F1???
Considering that someone, someday, beats Ferrari(yeah, unfortunately it shall happen).
Who do you think that will do this??? -BAR -Williams -Renault -Mclaren or some pilot, even Schummy if he left the Red team. |
When the Superteam (Ferrari) begins to lose its top members in 2006-end there might be a shake-out. But who is going to capitalize on that is anyone's guess - depends on the driver line-up for 2007 and the teams competitiveness. Too early to predict. Your guess is as good as mine

BAR and Renault are getting better and better, next season will be interesting and as Sameerao sais, its to early to say, but I think a change is is about to come indeed what also concludes the red team :)
|
At the moment BAR and Renault are doing fine, but i think in the future McLaren and Williams are teams that are gonna be more competitive, because of their reputation, resources and status.

Please stay at BAR Jenson please :) |
McLaren and Williams have almost always been at the same level as ferrari, except this year when oddly both teams got it seriously wrong. But as the 3 biggest teams in F1, with easily the biggest budget I can see them staying at the top for many years to come. Having said that, the big guns, frank williams, patrick head, rond dennis, ross braun etc etc are all getting fairly old. Although I know ferrari know this and are starting to employ serious youth into their team to take over when todt n co retire. Im pretty confident willams and mclaren must be doing the same as the top teams will always get attract the top engineers and so their status as the top teams is likely to reamin for sometime.
Renault and BAR have made good progression this year though and as the constructors standings show they have made a big impact, although last race showed a poor performance from them which could be a sign of them wilting as a result of their small(er) budget which does not enable to develop the car as much as ferrari, williams and mclaren. The more they stay at the toop though, the more money they will get and the more level the playing field becomes. Next year is going to be very interesting i think. Hopefully williams and mclaren will be back on track, ferrari will undoubtedly be as strong as ever, lets hope renault and BAR keep up this years results and who knows, maybe the people from dubai that are rumored to be buying jordan may come in with a suprise package. This year is ferraris year tho ;) |
RENAULT POWER!!!
|
Renault - doing everything right and just need a couple of years to sharpen the edges. Maybe could have had a more agressive driver in the stable, imagine what Fisi could have done if he were to strat out in the top ten at least, now he's passing left and right - 15th to 5th last time
|
Yeah, but Williams, McLaren and BAR, work in associations with other bigger manufacturers, and depend on how much this manufacturers are interested in spend. Any time the partnership might be broke, or just the decraese of investments, leaving a big winning team, almost orphan, look at Mclaren when it lost Honda's power plant.
Ferrari is the only case in the actual scenario of a manufacturer that "lives" the races and will aways put fat budgets on it. They depend almost exclusivelly on they reputation on motorsports to sell. Thats why Ferrari is a eternal top. |
i'd personally like to see Minardi or Sauber come out of nowhere and start kicking ass (if Ferrari starts losing ground that is, cuz i do love seeing them dominate :D ).
I just feel bad for those small-budget teams who rarely score points, and usually get lapped by Ferraris and the other top runners. Its like their spending all that money for nothing... :| |
i would also like to see the "less known" teams start giving the Mercs, BMWs, and Ferraris more competition, but i think next dominant force could be BMW or Mercedes.

Button in a Ferrari would be pretty awesome
|
LADA :!: I mean Lotus of course...
|
Kimi Räikkönen in a Ferrari is more likely. charmless man, but seriously funny to listen to.
|
button and raikkonen both at ferrari after the schumacher-barrichelo era. now that would be something to look forward to. :)
