Panoramic view of the lake.. kinda crappy LOL

Since somebody asked, I tried to do a panoramic view of the lake here in Lausanne.. sadly today was a crappy day.. I barely managed to take the pics before the rain came, second, despite the panoramic feature in my Pro 1 that allows you to take the pics one after the other and be sure they will be "right", to put them together ain't easy at all! It's VERY easy to see where one starts and the other ends.. of course with some hours of work in PS I'm sure I could improve this, but I really thought it would end up better... but well, rotating the camera on the tripod the perspective still change and well, we would need a pysician to explain why the fuck we can't simply put the pics together and have a perfect one ;)

Here is my try.. at least it will give an idea of what we see when we stare at our lake... it is France on the other side ;)

Oh, I also noticed a Continental GT in the Rolls/Bentley/Merc dealership ;)

That's is because of the lens curvature. It's angle is not spherical, thus the corners of the picture tend to stretch. You can see that in film camera when in movement, the corners always distord a little bit... :) btw, I'm not a physician, but i work with cameras, virtuals and real ones

Not bad for a first try, a few tips though :)

In Photoshop CS Goto : File -> Automate -> Photomerge, select the files you want to merge and it will arrange and blend them for you. There are options to fix perspective, advanced blending and other stuff to make it look real.

Another good Software package to try is >>> The Panorama Factory
