8 second street tire supra
Just got news from the rest of my friends who were in Maryland 2 weeks ago. Posted a new best time of 8.65 with the top trap speed of the weekend at 170 mph in the 1/4 mile. Thats on bfg drag radials with full dash, full body, and non bored over motor.
http://highboost.com/movies/[email protected] hope the vid still works. This is how it gets done in Atlanta. |
That's seriously fast dude :D

So more accurately with highly specialized tyres that over-grown corrola hatchback pulled 8 seconds. :) |
umm, i think the BFG drag radials come stock for sti...
|
NO car comes stock with Drag Radials especially a rally car.
They have Ultra High performance tires but not Drag Radials. Drag Radials: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/image...dial_large.jpg STi uses Bridgestone Potenzas RE070: http://www.bridgestonetire.com/dpp/g...full/RE070.jpg |
ooo, drag radials *drules*... i want some for my car so i can launch it at 5500 RPM and rip my tranny out
|
but they are still DOT approved for street use as well =) and its still damn impressive, especially with full body and waht not... =)
and there are supras out there that run in the 9s on normal street tires, which is awesome for a streetable car i love supras |
hmmm, thats weird!? my buddy got his sti 3 months ago and the tires are still stock...and its the bfg drags...

fast supra and this topic has just been converted from Supra to Tires
|
very fast street car,
as for the tires i think (car and driver) SBRP225/45R17 90W Bridgestone Potenza RE070 Summer/Directional Performance Tires are the tires that come with it, mayb your friend got hook ups at the dealer :D |
8.65 sec full bodied street car on the quarter mile? man that is some wickedly fast car.
|
well they have old school muscle cars that do the same thing with a full body and interior on "street" tires but yes it is a fast car.
MercedesChinck: Your friend does NOT have stock tires on his car Subaru doesn't use BFG's they use the Potenza RE070 that I showed above. |
