My car was broken into.

This past weekend was Independence Day for the USA and I decided to take a trip to Orlando and go to Epcot Center at Disneyworld. I left the Cobra here and took my mom's car. She is ill and I got a bonus so I took her on a little trip. Woke up this morning and was going to uncover the car and give it a bath. This is what I found.

Fortunately, they didn't get inside the cockpit. I have a factory anti-theft system but they knew if they opened the door then the alarm would set itself off. They reached inside and lowered the rear seat-back, hoping that they could reach in and grab something in the trunk, but I had nothing in there. After I get the car repaired, am going to upgrade the alarm.

Scary! but you were lucky afterall!

FoxFour 07-06-2004 07:42 PM

Yes, I do consider myself lucky. I just ordered a Crime Guard AL-100C add on alarm for factory keyless entry vehicles. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UFHDiPG...&avf=Y&search= I had to buy the two stage impact sensor for an additional $24 usd. Hopefully I will get a call from my adjuster tomorrow so I can get this over with.

Nice car, it sucks what happened to it though.

schnell318 07-06-2004 08:42 PM

Sorry to hear that, hopefully the new alarm will stop this from ever happening again.

Daggernite 07-06-2004 09:19 PM

That sux, the guys who did it should get a good beating!! How could they do that to such a nice car?

rachaderua 07-07-2004 12:20 AM

hummmm very sorry man....lucky for you that they didn´t make more bad things....motherfuckes :(

bmagni 07-07-2004 12:23 AM

it was just a glass and its just something minor, it makes u mad, but dont let it upset u

T-Bird 07-07-2004 12:30 AM

well it upsets me that people resort to breaking into other peoples cars eventhough I would go through the parking lot in Highschool and pull door handles setting off the car alarms of the rich pricks who used them at school.

chipanggo 07-07-2004 01:42 AM

sorry to hear of your misfortune mate. i bet it was a really sucky feeling when you found out what happened. at least it's pretty minor.

FoxFour 07-07-2004 09:55 AM

Thanks guys. It was not as bad as the first time that my first Mustang was broken into. I probably would have felt worse if they tore up the interior though.

stradale 07-07-2004 10:22 AM

Sorry to hear that, Foxfour! It sure is a nasty surprise to find out someone has broken into your car. They might not have taken anything, but there's still some damage. That's always bad. Certainly for a car nut. Still, glad this was all they did.

What a bitches! Good that nothing's missing and its just a window + few scratches

fabro_s 07-07-2004 01:40 PM
