nice but I prefer to stick with Sony for all my drives.

If I were going for state of the art Id prefer it to be the new double side format.

That is a dual layer if that's what your talking about

dang I missed where it said that in the piece.. thats what I get for skimming.

It's nice and all but finding media that doesn't cost alot still is gonna be a bitch for dual layer.

LGs are not that great. I'd go with an NEC. They cost more but they are more robust. We sell LGs at the store and they are ok, but they just arent build that well.

You can install dual layer firmware on the NEC2500A too. And all it costs you in a regular 2500A which is about 155CDN.

And lastly dual layer media is hard to come across.
