Variable turbo's on BMW
 

The new 535d applies turbo's with two different functions, with this new technology it has the same power as BMW's 4.0l V8.

If anybody needs more info, I'll translate it for you guys.

Yep, quite amazing, the diesel engines are getting stronger, better, faster and more fuel efficient, and do keep in my mind diesel fuel is cheaper.
If it were only for higher revs and better sound :(

yup, anyway the nafta producers dont want and wont let diesel get that much market, basically on countries that dont use diesel cars that much e.g. US, theyre restarting to use diesel cars but i dont think theyre getting too far

Incorrect. GM produced a number of diesel cars that were horrible in the late 70s early 80s. As such no americans want to buy them.. (Not just gms fault cause the golf and beatle tdi also suck).

In terms of emissions they are getting hit by the govt as not allowed to be used by govt vehicles for their higher emissions for things that matter(none of that global warming bs, but instead acid rain) (especially in america where the diesel fuel isnt as clean due to refinements focusing more on gasoline and sulfur deposits being higher). However, that has nothing realy to do with the cars consumers buy.

A Diesel rumbles more than a petrol. the sound is mainly the exhaust and it's tip. As for reving...wtf...i mean... i'd prefer having the double of acceleration than reving till 10000RPM. Thats like this: it'll have twice the torque and go till 5000 = lower RPM to reach peak torque = hellafastio, coolio. If ya still understanding, this means all the opposite of what you thought, pendejo...

Anyway, this is a variable pression contraption right... so it means it you won't feel it kicking in that much after all the lag right? Then it builds up as you go... That has absolutly nothing to do with more power and after all that added tubing and/or a ALS ya get the same weight as a supercharger that does not lag....c'mon ppl, use your head other to nod at something new but no better.

It has 272Bhp but the same torque as the 740d....560Nm...may coz of the 6cylinder
