First point for Minardi since a long time !!!
The Mclarens finished  The Ferraris are 1 and 2 : boring :? Panis 5th : 8) Sato 3rd : he will become a god in Japan  |
Hahaha , unbeliabable , Ferrari is in a class of it own
|
That race was a complete mess! I am just glad everyone seems to be ok after it!
|
Although there was quite a lot of pain in this race, i'll have to say that it was the most interesting race I've seen in quite some time. Even the two Ferraris were neck-at-neck for a good portion of the race.
Alonso's + Ralph's crash was quite spectacular  The best overtaking manouver was when Schumi passed Barrichello at +350 km/h :P |
Can anyone tell me if the safety car is an SLK or SLR?? i have a bet with a friend that it's an slk, since i didn't see tose side air intakes..but i have to know for sure...
Also, WTF happened to the Marlboro signs in Ferrari cars? |
looks like a SLK to me.
And I also think this is one of the most interesting race, at one point I almost thought that Rubens' 22 secs is enough for his pitstop and yet Michael still made it thru (hopefully it's not Evil Brawn at work). Nonetheless, the safety cars, the crashes and overtaking of Sato made this the most interesting race of the season so far. Reliability sure helps (only 8 finished the race). |
:-D i just got back from the Grand Prix!!!
well, i honestly think Rubens should have won it... M. Shumacher was incredibly fast during the first half the race, but tapered off after the second pit stop... it was an SLK AMG :) oh my god! that car was very fast (for a road car) and sounded like american muscle... i can hardly believe so many cars were nocked out so early; thankfully R. Shumacher 'just' had a bruised back. Jenson was doing in the first half what Takuma was doing in the second. those guys really are amazing drivers. JP Montoya seems to have been disqualified... i didnt see, but i heard he was black flagged for hopping into a different BMW williams car in a pit stop. pitty, he was driving quite fast too. i didnt have as good a view as i hoped, but ill post some pictures from the event tomarrow :-D i cant wait to see the tv coverage :) |
My congratulations to the chef. The US GP has deffinately become one of my favorite events. The combination of High speed straights and low grip corners makes it interesting to watch every time. I was a little surprised to see MS in the lead after the second pit stop but even with the 23sec lead Indy does have a pretty long pit lane.
I will mention that I think they should have red flagged for Ralph's accident. His position on the track and the debris field were plenty enough reason to make a 15 minute delay. Besides 10 laps behind the safety car is kind of irritating. Goose93 |

Hope sato and button to finish thrid and fourth at the end. it's the first time that button didn't score. only barichello finishes all races
|
Was anyone other than me disturbed at the fact that the marshalls didn't seem to know wtf they were doing? They left debris all over the track and it caused at least 3 noticeable accidents including one which left Ralf in the middle of the track, unconscious for quite some time. Alonso and Fisichella both had tires deflate due to punctures...Alonso's of course being much more spectacular. Why didn't they yellow or red flag the race and clean up the fucking track!?!?!

I was an interesting race, things can be learnt from it. I was pleased to see such a larger turn out from the US. Even if the 'stadium' was like half full. |
