I have a new addition to the garage, picked it up last night. My buddy and I split it and are going to share it to keep costs down. I heard these things will kick my butt after only a few sessions. I know the slower indoor ones get me sore after one 30 minute session, so I can't imagine what this one will do. It's 100cc. I just went to the hardware store this morning to get some stuff to mount it:

Held in place by 4 eyelets and straps. It actually stands against the wall by itself, but I used the straps to make sure it doesn't fall over if it's bumped or something. I'll have to kill myself if it dropped on the M:

Not pain, just sore and tired from fighting the g's. I want to take a beginner class to learn more about karting...but so far, I've just been dicking around. I assume the technique is different than racing full size cars because of the amount of grip you have and the focus on carrying speed through the turns...

What's your webpage so I can see some pics?

I want to get a shifter eventually, but figured a non-shifter would be better to learn on...plus they're cheaper to start on. =)

and well yea u do get kinda tired after some time cause of the gs but just with a 15 min break u should b good to go, and what u can do is stick or try to go behind a guy that knows more about it and follow his line, that should help alot, and i got a shifter and i have never riden a kart b4 so its not as hard as it looks, unless u want to go racing, then yea u will get beat too easy, cause u gotta have it in the right gear at the right time but just 4 normal use 4 fun its great fun, better than auto

Nice, I would love to get a cart, but there are no facilities even remotely close to me to run it. Around here drivig it on the streets would be next to suicide.

Wow...that's a much more serious looking machine than the one I just got. Maybe I'll step up to the plate and get one like that in the future. How is your kart's acceleration? I noticed on the one that I got, the low end is pretty bad, feels like it's about to die, but slowly gets faster. Once it hits the "sweet spot" it flies. I wonder if there are any adjustments to spice up the lower end?

yes, i also felt that at the beggining, but when i got the hang of it a bit better i just put it down a gear or 2 so it was on the sweet spot all the time, thats the bad thing about the auto, u have to wait till it revs so it goes... ir sux, i even remember that i was full throttle and adn the engine felt and sounded weak and when it reved more it sounded like a "tzeeee-tzeeeeeee-tzeeeeeeeeeee", it really pushes ur head back! u feel TONS of acceleration through all gears in the straight!
and about what u were saying u can mess with the carb but its not recomended if ur just playin, the easiest thing is to buy a sproket with more or less "teeth" depending if u want more aceleration ot more top-end, and theyr not too expensive, but b carefull, if u put it too low u have to watch the revs in the straight, cause it can overheat, the only way to go is to buy a rev meter, but those r pretty expensive, and u can still drive without one, i dont have one yet and u can still drive by hearing the revs, although im not too acurate sometimes but ill get one later

Someone told me that I could get a clutch that doesn't grab until higher revs...then work on keeping the gas down or just easing up on it, while braking - to keep the revs up?
