It's more like buy after the first price cut. By then you get more top rated games, most of the hardware kinks have been worked out already and you enjoy the savings. I remember getting my PS2 & GCN shortly after the May 2002 price cuts and it was well worth the wait.

JP PS3s are going for $1000 in the Philippines with 2 games.

isn't the US cost 700? anyways i am getting a 360 over thanksgiving break. trading in my ps2 and other games and systems.

Yup learned the hard way with the PS2. Got a Disc Read Error 3 months into it and just pass the warranty period.

A US PS3 on eBay wen for $3050.00 with one game. I really wish I had been able to get one right away.

Thats ludacris. I dont know what peoples fascination for being the first to have stuff is anyway. Im still waiting on getting a Xbox 360 in hopes the price will come down a little more.

Yea, the PS3 is going for around 1500 dollars US on eBay right now. I imagine the day after it comes out the people that promiced junior they would get one will pay a pretty penny on eBay to get one

Well the 360 was selling around 1500-2000 for the system and a game when it first came out.

Bragging rights for one thing. Forums are filled with pictures from early adopters.

Someone from HK told me the pre-orders area already sold out in HK & Everyone else is doing a force bundle of games + controllers. Resistance is the only game I fancy at the moment any hows.
