Until he does go that fast I'll remain skeptical....There's no reason it couldnt but anyone can print car x does 245mph...But where's the proof...I eagerly await the proof...

if they are going to hit 245 there should be an assload of cameras covering it. speedo cam, radar cam, etc.

Why do you people doubt the performance of modded cars?

In the mid 1980's Koenig was running 230+mph with twin turbo Testarossa's and Callaway was running 255mph with the sledgehammer Vette... hell Ruf has been running his cars at 210mph+ since the mid 1980's as well.

You would shit in your pants if you only knew just how many street cars can be run to 220+mph.

This is not the exclusive territory of the Macca and Enzo.. :roll:

LPE TT Vette's, TT Vipers, Koenig's Ferraris and Ruf's Porsches have been modded into the 220mph realm for 20 years already.

Knowing Hennesy and his eithics, he probably used one of those fancy mortgage calculators to come up with a theoretical top speed.
I know full well that it can be done. If people can make dragsters run 0-300mph in 3 seconds, they can make a Viper do 240+mph.

BTW, I'm watching the Yankees/Red Sox game, they are playing Top Gears theme song! LOL

That's a badass car...and I have a vid of some sort of Hennessy TT SRT-10 at the drag strip running 9 secondish 1/4mi...it nearly lifted the front tires off the ground! Only thing is, the turbos take away from that great Viper V10 sound.

Insane I know...But there was another forced induction Viper that pegged a dyno at 1200rwtq and it still had over 1000rpm to go :shock: Vipers are truly a mans car....It likes to be blown :D
