Blow me down, I walked into my local Jesspos (camera shop) and they are doing a £100 cash back offer on the camera! The camera was good value to start with, but this just made my day! I think I have found my X-mass present to myself! 8)

hi jon you may want to look up the EOS 10D. The introduction of the 20D caused price downs for the 10D.

I think that is a little too much money. I started with a budget of £500 and the 300d costs £700 without any reduction. It is now £600 which is still £100 more than my budget....but worth it. Not sure if the 10d is worth the extra outlay compared to my photographic skills! :P

However, I shall have a closer look into it.
